Toggleable Turbo Button and Jet/Contrail For Vehicles

I use a gamepad for preference and vehicle turbo, like run, is on the left stick. I only run in short bursts - after all, if you want to go any real distance you use a bike or a motor vehicle. But if you're cruising towards a distant quest point along a long road, you want to go turbo. Holding down the stick for that long is a bit uncomfortable and I'd be worried about wearing the stick and getting drift. So I'm hoping a toggle could be introduced for vehicles.

 

I've tried various things using Steam to customise my controls, but they have drawbacks. Added as a double-tap or long press function of another button it can make the primary function less responsible - such as putting it on A-Button and jump stops working reliably. It is also not interrupted by slowing down, stopping or getting off the bike, as I would expect in other games. So it can still be on when you don't think it is, and if the computer thinks you're holding down Lshift when you hit tab for inventory -- hello, Steam overlay.

 

In addition, I'd like to see some kind of jet effect from the exhaust to let you see when you're in turbo, maybe even a cool smoke contrail. You could add a dye to it to colour it just to show off. When a bunch of you are motorcycling down the road in formation it could look very impressive.
