TSOC_yaya
My friend and I set the blade trap and I connect them with the same power, then he got EXP by his, I got the EXP by mine. Is it possible to share the killing EXP from blade trap?
Old Crow
Sadly no. Only the person who placed the traps gets the experience for trap kills, and that's only as long as the person placing them has 3 or more points in Advanced Engineering.
TSOC_yaya
Thx for replying. Maybe the skill change in A21 will make it possible.
SylenThunder
I wouldn't hold my breath. TFP has never been about giving away free exp. You put resources and energy into your blade traps, so they give you exp. Same for your friend. Same reason you don't get exp by simply making a field of spikes for zeds to walk across and die on.

At the same time, you do get to share experience from kills others make even when you're not there as long as you're within the radius that is set. I don't see any reason sharing experience from electric trap kills is a bad thing as long as you have perked to get it. No reason only the base builder gets experience from those and no reason everyone should need to place down some traps just to get the experience.
Old Crow
Yeah, when partied with friends, there's not much reason to gain EXP from their traps as well, since as Riasmus pointed out, you're already sharing exp gain in a party.

Is it possible to share the killing EXP from blade trap? No, it is not possible to share the killing experience from blade traps in 7 Days to Die. The only way to get experience from a trap kill is to be the player who placed the trap. This is true even if you are standing next to the trap when it kills an enemy. There is a perk called Advanced Engineering that allows you to get experience from electrical traps, but this does not apply to blade traps. Some players have suggested that the developers should change this so that players who contribute to a trap kill can get experience, but this has not been implemented yet. Blade traps are affected by the Advanced Engineering perk and will give experience on kills to the player if they perk in to level 3 or higher. Any trap considered electrical would give a player credit if they perk into Adv Engineering.
