Mikez841
Hi, I'm trying to edit a french Localization ( for the first time ) for the awesome mod Undead Legacy, everything works fine except that keys é,è,ç,à don't appear in game, it show me a "?" instead. In the original game these keys appear without problem. How can I make them appear please ? Thanks in advance =)

Mikez841
Understood, Sorry for that i'm new here. Hope someone will know a tip about this, characters dont appear in items names and descriptions, but do appear when editing a storage sign in game for example... BFT2020
Question - Does the localization file in vanilla works fine? You mentioned that typing those characters in game works fine, but wondering if vanilla descriptions pulled from the localization file are showing those characters. That would help to narrow down the issue between a vanilla game issue or if it is related to the mod's localization file itself. Right now I am at work and can't look at the mod's localization file until I download it at home tonight.
Mikez841
Thanks, yes everything works fine in vanilla localization. Not working when launching Undead Legacy
meganoth
This suggest you are using a different character encoding than the rest of the Localization file. Are you on Windows, Mac or Linux? Which editor program do you use?
Mikez841
Windows, using wordpad
khzmusik
1 hour ago, Mikez841 said: Windows, using wordpad You sure it's actually a text file? WordPad normally doesn't save plain text, it saves in a format that has formatting and layout information (like Word does). If it's not that, then check the text encoding using some other tool. I don't know if Notepad does it or not, but most code editors would (Notepad++, VS Code, etc).
