ModLauncher's Site Hates Chrome?

Trying to access Sphereii's Mod Launcher (7d2dmodlauncher dot org) but the site gives me a "403 Forbidden" error if I navigate to it in Chrome.

I submitted the bug report to the webmaster, but curious if anyone has a fix? 

note: it does work in Edge, I just hate Edge and really want to know why the site hates Chrome, lol.

 

I tried:

Clearing the cache & cookies

Using Incognito mode

 

Oh, also my partner loaded it on Chrome on their computer just fine! So, maybe there's some Chrome setting I have on that they don't? *shrug*

You're probably trying to reach it through HTTPS rather than through HTTP. That protocol isn't supported, I guess maybe SphereII didn't pony up for an SSL certificate or something? I agree it's dumb but what can you do.

I never had ssl on the site, other than what the hosting provider does. 

 

 I don't understand why some people get 403 either.  I haven't touched the site in a long while.

This is probably chrome's HSTS implementation at work.

 

@sphereii: If you ever want to add SSL, you can get a certificate for free from  https://letsencrypt.org

You can also see if your hosting provider can create one for free. Most do nowadays. That's probably better because you won't have to manage it.
