Lunapurrr
Trying to get my son set up on his laptop to play 7D2D with me. He is having an issue on his pc where the camera acts like it is “driving” his character. Meaning that the camera is actually moving the character instead of the keys. What’s odd is that this doesn’t happen all the time, only after he has been moving with the keys for a few seconds. Almost like an auto run situation or that the game thinks the character is a vehicle and is “driving.” Can anybody help? Thanks!
meganoth
Which camera? Are you saying moving the mouse is actually moving his character? Or is the character just walking or running in the same direction as if a key on the keyboard was stuck?
Riamus
I have seen where lag has caused me to continue moving for a short distance after stopping. Might be related.
unholyjoe
preferably a new video (not a stream or catching someone else's video) of this happening so we can see the extent of this movement. is sticky keys off in windows, worn keyboard, are you referring to the normal stop movement and camera moves forward about 1/2 second and then evens back up to player (which is normal but not for a long distance or several seconds example 5-10 secs). so a current video can possibly have the answer. Yes the mouse is moving the character for a few sec after we take our fingers off the forward key on the keyboard. It’s not a stuck key, it’s like the mouse is directing the movement 6 hours ago, Riamus said: I have seen where lag has caused me to continue moving for a short distance after stopping. Might be related. Yeah I’m wondering if his computer is not sufficient enough to run the game. I’ve turned a lot of the UI settings down but it’s still kinda laggy 6 hours ago, unholyjoe said: preferably a new video (not a stream or catching someone else's video) of this happening so we can see the extent of this movement. is sticky keys off in windows, worn keyboard, are you referring to the normal stop movement and camera moves forward about 1/2 second and then evens back up to player (which is normal but not for a long distance or several seconds example 5-10 secs). so a current video can possibly have the answer. I’m not sure how to record it happening on his laptop, but it’s a new laptop and the keys aren’t sticking. And yes I’m referring to the camera/mouse continuing to move the character after taking his finger off the movement keys
