Snowy Owl
I was wondering for the future A21 are there going to be new paint color options. The new blocks allow for very beautiful builds, but the paint options are mostly cracked or faded. Can there also be colors that are not damaged looking for those who want to make a nice building as a base to not look cracked or faded and newer colors please. I was very disappointed when A20 came out with no changes in the color schemes.
doughphunghus
I’ve heard there will not be, due to a limitation on how many paint colors/scenes/tiles that’s in the game, and I believe it’s related to Unity. you can , however, add in blocks that have new textures as part of the block, or furniture that’s “new” looking. There’s several mods that do this (just listing some, there are more). Note the “decor” and non “blocks” packs usually have doors and windows in them that are “new and clean”: - https://7daystodiemods.com/decor-blocks/ -https://7daystodiemods.com/ztensitys-unnecessarily-beautiful-but-immersive-ubbi - https://7daystodiemods.com/telrics-decoration-pack/ - https://7daystodiemods.com/?s=Terrain
pApA^LeGBa
It´s a performance issue. To many different colours do have a high impact on performance. They even hardcoded it so you can´t really put in new colors with mods unless you add a block with a texture already on them. That´s really BS not making this modable with the argument of performance. Following that logic a lot of mods shouldn´t be possible. Why care here but not for the rest of the mods that partly have a VERY high impact on performance?
