Issue with Scrapping

So I've been messing around with game files for fun and somewhere along the way, I broke something. Now when I try to scrap certain items (empty cans, fishing weights, and buckshot to name a few), the stack I scrap is reduced to 1, and I cannot scrap the remainder. And even the stuff I do scrap all of seems to be worth much less than it used to, one example being 3 empty cans scrapping for 1 iron, with a remainder can I can't scrap. I'm not entirely sure what I did to cause that to happen, so I thought I would ask and see if anyone else has experienced this and, more importantly, figured out how to fix it. I read somewhere that the item's weight value affects the scrapping quantity, but as far as I'm aware I never modified that value. Any help would be appreciated.

Try deleting your config files (the xml) and have Steam redownload them.  That should fix your issue.

 

Also, you would probably need to start a new game after that.
