Druid
I think it would be useful to be able to leave messages in containers for other players in the game world. I know this could end up with some nasty messages, but it's no worse than pressing 't' and chatting. The reason being I was playing in a PVE server with two other people, who weren't on my friends list. We were all helping each other out. One evening I built a large reinforced concrete cabin. The next day I returned to the server and someone had broken the doors down, replaced them and started using it as a base and built a huge mine below it - now I didn't know whether it was my two friends or someone else 'cos no one else was on the server. In case it wasn't, I took all my stuff and stuff they stashed there to send a message that this was my place. The next evening, again there was no one else on the server but whoever it was had been back while I was away, so I did the same again. Now I guess that it WAS actually my friends as they've never been back to that server, presumably because I took all the stuff and couldn't explain what was going on to them, and we were having a great game! If I could have combined a piece of paper with a feather, say, I could have left a message for them saying "I've taken this stuff - if it's then I've got your stuff safe, I'll be back here tomorrow" or something, and they wouldn't have quit. What does anyone think?
VorrAkkagi
I haven't played multiplayer yet, but I can easily see how that would be very useful in many ways. If that isn't easily done, at least get email addresses or be able to contact them via net somehow to explain/plan, etc.
Raithen
I'd love notes. It would be pretty easy, paper, ink. Perhaps a placeable lectern with a book on it that you can open and read through the pages. Make it so you can't delete the pages in there so it keeps a kind of history :P
