Ahoi hoi Survivalists

 

Here is the COMPOPACK_23 for ALPHA 15 (build83) !!!

 

It's a collection of 504 Vanilla- and Custom-Prefabs made from the members of this forum.

 

This Release mainly belongs to the A15upgrade. There where 2 block that have changed.

Also 1 Entity has changed(removed). And the old mixer dont work with A15 for some Reason !!!

I have added almost all CP-Prefabs to the original Vanilla-rwgmixer-structure. Its almost like before.

(except multiple Towntypes and multiple Citytypes are out atm).

 

To get all changes in detail - goto the updatepost or read the Changelogfile in the DL-pack.

 

 

Note:

atm I use a mix from Vanilla-, xvanilla- and CP-Prefabs.

(I will seperate the Vanilla-Prefabs from CP some time later !)

 

As always the COMPOPACK is 100% EAC-friendly !!!

KNOWN ISSUES IN DETAIL:

(that belongs the LANDSCAPE, the PREFABS and their SPAWNING):

 

- Uncontrolled water-Biomes destroys Landscape, Roads, Paths and whole Hubs

 

- all the known worldgenerator-Issues and Gamebugs:

(e.g. Prefabs spawning into streets in towns, earthchunks in prefabs, missrotated stairs and other blocks , strange landscapes and paths)

 

- the rotation-systemization hasen't bin done yet (this means we still have these courious block-rotations - when the prefabs is rotated !!! <== have to check if this is still true !!!

 

 

 

Sidenote:

Some creations are look like a littlebit curious (especially the furnish and deco or displaced looking blocks)

this is no Issue for me - these blocks i haven't changed !!! (i wanna keep the artistic freedom of the creator !!! ) . IMO its these little things - that makes the world living (this and the zeds OFC :) )

Update-time !!!

 

COMPOPACK_23(for_alpha15-b83) is out now !!!

 

 

I like this Version !

The world looks almost how I want it to look like :)

I have to do some finetunings, but the variety and density of the Prefabs is OK for me atm.

I have decreased wilderness-POI's-density about 40%.

 

GREAT!!!

 

Updating server now and resetting it.

 

Its interesting to see the Pre-Gen differences between vanilla and your mixer.

I call you done something wrong lol. As soon as i added compo pack to game my preview was chockerz with prefabs. Compared to what vanilla added. Altho i must say vanilla is the best it has been since lile forever. Except a10ish when towns were actually full and actual towns.

 

But mags has brought back his awesomeness once again.

After putting the prefabs on my server it just keeps throwing the file not found exception and saying it can't find the prefabs I put them all in the prefabs folder as I have been doing forever with all the other packs

 

Its working here on a dedicated / hosted server.

 

What are you playing on? single player? Localhosted MP or dedicated server?

U can dl it - but no support on older CP's

 

 

 

btw:

Yes LewZephyr. Big differences!

 

IMO the Vanillamixer has to many towns around the big City.

Also there are to many wildernessPOI's. One after the other one.

So I have increased the variety and decreased the density of them.

You have to copy and paste the prefabs into the games prefab folder. No overwrite prefab folder

i did put them in the prefabs folder i have been doing it for a while but it looks like they wont work unless they are in the actually steam folder as well not just on the server

 

Ok, so now I appoligize. I have the same issue.

 

When I tested it earlier I had the Compo Pack installed on local machine as well as on the server.

This was on another PC.

 

Now on my gaming PC when I connect to the server it is spitting out an error over an over about missing files, but showing the path to the local machine.

Putting files on this PC it works fine then.

I think the Pimps may of changed how prefabs work on dedicated?

that was my thought as well which kinda sucks a bit because alot of people i play with dont want to put them on the local machine

This is an amazing pack.

 

Seems like TFP like it also, because the football stadiums fields look very similar

 

Lol the football stadium has been in the game for many alphas now. Just hadnt been used as such due to its size and not spawning as it should. I did a few diff variances of the football stadium where i added all round stadium also the racecar track is made from it to.

Yep. Copy the prefabs to my client and the errors go away. Has it always been like this and I just never noticed because I always have the pack on my client?

 

Always has been like that.

 

Same for the "mods" folder too.

 

The only file pushed is the UI (windows.xml)

The prefabs never have pushed, but previously you did not need the prefab on the client side.

 

I'm guessing its something to do with the pregeneration that takes place needing the xml files for the prefabs
