yes it does and its better then it was in a16 and only getting better :-)

 

 

giving the in game editor a whirl. zomg. Did a bunch of paints just diiiiiieee in A17? QQ what... a pain. lol

Yep lol apparently nice paint became zombies lol. Which sucks. Don't know what the harm was to just leave em on.

 

Ps grab pilles superbrush it is way better then the vanilla and dev brush combined multiple times lol

It seems someone went ♥♥♥♥ on the whole organizing blockIDs thing. Fine. I just hope they have a better system now that someones done it. So they don't break POI's in the future. Though what I don't understand is, why did they have to remove some of the paints all together? I can't recall which, but I definitely couldn't get a paint to match how I had my paintball place done up previously. I'm bad at interior design and painting.

 

Don't make me do it twice! QQ

There were all the nice paints lol that vanished. If it was ♥♥♥♥e it stayed.

 

No block id's anymore technically you can have like 32k blocks now and items.

Iam working on the new Release every day

 

Next CP will have:

-trader-rules again (min5 / max9)

-multitownships (several differnt towns with their own prefab-sets)

-changed back to Vanilla-BiomeGen again (now snow is beneath desert again - but every Seed is ok now)

-rwgmixer is balanced for 8k-maps now

-about 20 new Prefabs

-many fixes and restaurations of existing Prefabs

 

Idk when I will Release it - got still a few more works to do

My goal this time is to deliver the best COMPOPACK ever !

 

Keep in mind that rwg-engine-code is far away from being perfect atm - tbh its a site on a very special emergeny-state IMO

(its aweful to work with it atm tbh - no Chance to get a fullfilled town with no doublette-POI's or senseless streets e.g. ...)

The list of rwg-bugs is almost as long as my foot LOL

I heard TFP is working on rwg atm - So maybe there will be some improvements in A17.2

I don't know the process you go through when prepping a POI to be A17 compatible. But just FYI.

 

Some sleeper blocks got changed and became corpse blocks. So some sleeper positions got removed by the A17 update.

It seems some entity groups got tweaked too. I'm pretty sure I didn't have football volumes on the POI in A16. But there were a few that were set as football zombie groups in the POI from what I got from the compo-pack for A17.

A16 I-Beam blocks got changed into Wood Blocks some how.

 

Just stuff I'm finding based on manually fixing and updating the Paintball Arena. Thought i'd share.

What in the world am I doing wrong? Dropbox downloads CP-37 as a PDF.

 

ummmmm try again something could a went screw if on your end or in the dl process as the dl link worked for me. Once dl look inside folder for a data folder and open it up and there should be prefabs and config folder etc

to the sleepersblock changed into goreblocks:

I reduced the Sleepers of the CP-prefabs by this way.

When A17 has dropped me and also many other players thought there was way to much sleepers in the vanilla-POI's

so I wanted to have a nice contrast to them.

Today its my Opinion it was a good decision, but I slightly overdid it in some Prefabs

It was a automatic process, so some of the Prefabs could need some new Sleeper-balancing - thats for sure

after I removed tons of Sleeperblocks I set all of the Volumes new. This is y the footballers are there.

 

In the Convertion-progress I had to use all of the beam-blocks as placeholders that work in a16 and a17 !!!

All A16 beam-blocks are now other blocks in A17 - sry I didnt noticed ur prefab uses beam-blocks.

 

The convertion was a damn hard work (check out the CP32-Changelog)

So some of the Prefabs needs a closer look into them in A17

but all Prefabs are running now errorfree - its the best I could do - better than nothing IMO

Oh! Okay cool! That's really good to know. And I didn't mean to imply anything sideways about your process. I thought I was finding bugs in A17. lol. Awesome that makes waaay more sense now.

 

Hm. The paintball prefab is pretty loot heavy so I reupped the zombies in the volumes. I can bring them back down to less zombies. Though I thought after watching how much loot came out of it, it needed a loot nerf and a difficulty bump.

Hey Magoli! Thanks again. I'm in a big casino (HUGE! Maybe 20 floors if not more) - with the massive vault on the first floor in the back. Looks like there's a garden in front with probably a garage below. I had to log out and just logged back in. Looks like a lot of the loot containers are 'respawning' loot again. I came in and started clearing, then started on the vault with the ammo boxes. Then I did 2 of the gun safes and had to log out. Just got back in and many of them have respawned loot. Actually every type of container has, but not all of them.

 

The group and I love your Compo Pack! They don't want to play without it. Thank you for all of your hard and dedicated work on this!

 

Addition: Took me this long to realize that my storage box despawned with my food! lol

Addition:2: It seems to respawn after you leave the chunk too.

That's mine lol. There are 2 vaults you certain it was the same one. But that wouldn't be the compo pack it be maybe your loot respawn timer or another modlet or bug.

a17 seems to have an issue with random chunks getting reset too. It's been happening at random intervals on my server. People will lose a part of their base because a chunk gets randomly reset to its original condition.

Okay!

Both vaults at either end of the 1st floor in back respawn. They respawn loot semi randomly, some loot containers respawn while some of the same type don't respawn; confirmed leaving chunk respawns loot.

just FYI:

 

there will be NO COMPOPACK-Release for alpha17.2 !!!

I stopped all the working on CP for a unknown time !!!

 

I really dont like the actual concept of a17.2 RWG (Island surrounded by water)

In addition to that there are almost no space for towns or wilderness-POI's to place

(my first a17.2 4kmap had about 10 POI's on it - thats just ridiculous)

A17 RWG-map is already way to small - and now this ???

 

Sry - but there is nothing left in RWG i could work with atm

(my last a17.1 map (I worked on for about 3weeks) looked so cute again after trimming and tweaking the mixer)

(had multiple townships implemented and there were small (normal) towns all over the map)

Do you mean because of the RWG mixer or because the prefab/block/paint etc changes TFP did?

Yup Fun Pimps seem to be going backwards with everything. Maps are horrible and the Maps are the main part of the game without good maps the game gets boring super fast.

What would happen if I tried to install it on A17.2 anyway? Would it just create messed-up RWG worlds, or would there be something more significant? (If the former... well, can't get worse than it is now.)

I agree with you Mag 17.2 is the worst release yet. We are not upgrading Ravenhearst to .2

 

Is there any chance we can get what you have finished and updated so far for 17.1? I know a lot of us are staying on 17.1 and Im including your pois in Ravenhearst and I know it would be amazing if we could get to see the hard work you put into the mixer for 17.1. Just a thought, maybe a final release for us that are using .1 and dont intend to move to .2

No, this is pre Alpha 17.2... I generated this map maybe a couple of days before 17.2 came. And yup, there's virtually no way to get back to 17.1.
