**IMPORTANT** tHE ZIPPED FILE (War3zuk FarmLife v3 Enhanced VP) Is for playing the Mod in a vanilla game, The mod is built to run along side my Overhaul so had different settings for windows.xml & XUI.xml That patch sets it all back to Vanilla so it runs, If you add that zip file to my overhaul it will break the things mentioned..

 

**Important** Started this page for 2 reasons, 1st, The original Author, If you have issues with me doing this please mention it & ill remove & send you the updated files I have so far which is only around 7 hours work.. Still a ways to go to fully update this.. & 2nd This Modlet deserves to be working on Alpha 20.3 & I couldn't find any info on this being updated past 14 months ago & Roland had closed all pages related to this..

 

War3zuk FarmLife v3 Enhanced Alpha 20.4 B42 Stable

 

Animals

Farm animals are part of the original mods. While I won't be fixing many of the issues with the previous models, I have corrected offset for placement. I've added new models and recipes. None have animations, and are working place-holders for the time being.

 

New animals currently include:

 

Beehive (honey)
Horse (bone, leather, glue*)
Pheasant (eggs, feathers, meat)
Sheep (wool, meat)
Turkey (eggs, feathers, meat)

 

Animal Workstations

Animal workstations are a continuation of Mayics concept, with new animals added. Again, none have animations and are place-holders for the time being. They are also the source of a "breeding" system. I didn't really know how to do this, so I added "cryo" containers to be found in loot that can then be used with the Animal workstation to create that type of animal.

 

New animal workstations currently include:

 

Beehive
Elk
Horse
Pheasant
Sheep
Turkey

 

Crops

With the combination of the two farming mods, there were some duplicate plants. Some have been changed to other plant types, while others have been discarded and not used. The "crop" plants have been recoded to use TFP's growing method, with 56 plants available. All have at least 1 useful recipe.

 

Trees

Most of the recipes for UbB require certain types of wood. (example: Dark furniture requires Walnut, Clear requires Maple, White requires White Oak) making Trees more important.

 

Workstations

As mentioned, with the combination of the two farm mods, there were duplicates of some workstations. All have been re-evaluated and recipes changed accordingly. I didn't completely delete the unused models from the Modlet, and they are still able to be crafted, but with no recipe requirements tied to them.


Recipes/Quests

This is one of the areas I haven't done much with yet, regarding the originals. There are currently 1517 recipes and 292 quests in the Modlet. I haven't gone through everything, but all quests are available in the Farm Table. I also have to go through all of the Food recipes and categorize them. There is a "starter" quest item that will give basic quests to get started with Farm Life if you decide to use it. A few of the new food items are just place-holders and don't have buffs/stats yet.

 

Ill post a link to the Repo once I get it all working to the point of loading & appearing ok before actually playing & testing..

Also its worth noting that I dont have access to the original Unity Packages so I can only update the main xml.. this is amazing, wife and i are checking it out now, thank you for continuing this. it would be awesome if plants and trees were already part of the wild on world generation, is this a goal or even possible at some point? just curious, it dont matter really.

Red errors? I myself have not run into any red ones but if you're seeing the yellow text warnings and meaning those then the mod is fine to use for the time being from what ive experienced

There should be No red errors when running as they were all fixed, Are you mixing Mods ? Cos this is very early in updating & ive no way to know what will clash.. Im running this at the moment on its own NOT with my Overhaul or any other modlet running, It needs to be this way right now so I can fix & update..

 

Links folders & files have changed with FarmLife v3 Enhanced.. Delete the old folder before updating.. New game is required in order to use it properly while testing..

seems that it needs a new save, so i "think" that was the issue, not sure,

 

i noticed you dont have white oak seeds as yet or the icons for some, with using the blueberry icon, i would assume they're placeholders?

 

so far apart from that looking good. great to have this mod in A20

Yes pretty good chance while im editing this it will break certain code within the game.. Ive just updated all the stations & benches which means any that are down will need rebuilding..

 

Tested this update on an already running game & it broke so be warned @%$# is still broken & being fixed..

can i request a small change in the way plants grow, as in grapes etc, these are designed to regrow over time, so you can pleas make this possible, it shouldn't be too hard to do, i dare say

I myself am not a fan of regrowth of planted crops, to me it makes it to easy specially when seeds are very easy to come by, also its more realistic to replant plants. Trees on the other hand self regrowth is a great way as they already do which is also realistic. thats just a IMO though

i think y ou misunderstood what i was saying, grapes are meant to regrow, that is how it works in real life, i wasnt referring to crops, they dont regrow, trees regrow as well, and you've done that, so if you could do the same with grapevines, i would be most appreciative.

i forgot to mention, the latest version of farmlife expanded is giving me an error, when i try to load the skills menu, and it only started after the 1.04 update. i think i've found the error lines you need to see. hope this helps

The Modlet requires a NEW game, Each early update is breaking the previous version so if you carry on on an old save it will error.. If testing this Modlet out for now you MUST delete the old folder & then copy the new & then start a new test game..

 

Aah I see & yeah in real life they would continue to give grapes, But for balancing like all other plants once harvested they require replanting for now..

Hmmm. There is no crafting slots for Farm Table and Kitchnaid, im not sure what happen because there was in 1.03.. I always make a new game even newly generated map as well, so can't craft anything in them. trying to figure out if its on my end but unable atm

just to be clear, it does it, whether new or previous save. i've tried this yesterday, and only happens with your mod, after rolling back to the version before it worked fine.

how to install this on server i put both mods in the mod folerder and all i get is now what do i do ?
