Therandomtag
(Before hand: No I don't want to rent a server and inexperienced with this) Scenario: My friend suggested that I helped host the server that we're playing on because he's busy with work. The problem is, he's the host of the server and can't be online for the majority of the time. He sent me his game files so that I can download them and put them into my own files to host the game myself. I ran into a couple of issues which is, where do I put the files, which folders do the files go into, and lastly I get this error (No height data). -Firstly, his game files he sent me "Empty, Voluya territory, Profiles, Server Admin" (Sent it through google drive) -I know I have to put the downloaded files into a folder but I don't know which ones. (I test ran it and found another issue I ran too. I just want to confirm if I'm putting the files into the correct folders). The files I put the folders into were, "User>AppData>Saves OR (86x)>Steam>Steamapps>Common>7DaysToDie>Data>Worlds>Navezgane" (Excluding Profiles and Server Admin.) -Secondly I put Voluya territoy and empty into both of those folders. (User>AppData>Saves OR (86x)>Steam>Steamapps>Common>7DaysToDie>Data>Worlds>Navezgane) which successfully I was able to see the server while in-game. (Continue game, *his world*) -Thirdly, I'm able to connect but in the console it says, "FileNotFoundException:No data height found for world Voluya Territory" (That's my biggest issue right now. I'm trying to figure out how to fix it but I couldn't find anything.)
SylenThunder
Sounds like you didn't copy the data into the correct location. You would want to put the Voluya territoy folder into the Worlds folder, and not the Navezgane folder. 7DaysToDie\Data\Worlds The Pinned FAQ thread has details on migrating saves. Sorry I made a grammatical error, I put the Voluya territoy in (7DaysToDie/Data/Worlds) but the console error is still persistent. Thank you, I will look into it.
