Any news on console network issues being fixed?

Recommended Posts

The company still hasn’t updated the game since 2017 so they owe us console players a lot so be nice to get some content so we have the right to be @%$#ed off kinda hard to trust this company when they literally did nothing for this game I have no confidence in this company when is come to the console version of this game for real

Just to clarify, there are no dedicated servers operated by anyone. All games on console are strictly person to person: you hosting a friend on your game or them hosting you on their game. Sony maintains the network code which allows Playstations to communicate with each other and THAT is what it sounds like is down right now and not working for some games. Most likely they updated some things and now they will be slowly but surely bringing compatibility for the games on their network that didn't like the change. This happens all the time with graphics card drivers on the PC. Sometimes a new driver gets released and a game you have doesn't like it. It isn't on the developers of that game to get their game compatible with the new driver, it is up to Nvidia to bugfix whatever edgecases excluded those particular games. Users will often have to revert to an older driver while they wait for the fix.

Unfortunately, in your case, you just have to wait until Sony finishes fixing all their edgecases. I'm sure there is probably a way to report problems to Sony so that they know that they need to test 7 Days to Die on their network. They still sell 7 Days to Die on their store so they are obligated to still support it on their network. (Unless they print a disclaimer that MP is no longer supported and the title is a SP title only)

Finally, there will no longer be any more updates to the current console version of 7 Days to Die. It is now like hundreds of other PS4 games that are "as is" and not perpetually being updated.  Even if 7 Days to Die sells another 30 million copies, not a single dime of that will be used to update the current version. It will ALL be pumped into the PC game, the next PC game, and the next PC game, and--- MAYBE a new version of 7 Days to Die for PS5 (but no guarantees of that.)

Read the hard truth from Roland (last paragraph there) https://community.7daystodie.com/topic/23719-ps4-server-down/?do=findComment&comment=420949

That's it. The current 7d2d on console is a finished complete game, published and ultimately created(!!!) by Telltale, a company that just couldn't get the last patch in before folding. You are right to not trust TFP to do anything on console, because if there is anything happening on console in a few years, you can be quite sure the publisher name on the cover won't be "TFP".

I agree ,They @%$# on the people who paid for the game, FIX THIS GARBAGE

Telltale games was the publisher of 7Days2Die on consoles as TFP did not publish the game onto the consoles.  You should contact them and demand an update.  Let me know how that goes.

A buddy and myself are both having issues loading in the game. We have both deleted and reinstalled the game and still it says we have Playstation network issues. Every other game we have works online. But for some reason 7 days does not. Any idea what we need to do to fix this?

I started having the same - played a few weeks ago without this issue. No updates to the game... so what’s changed? How to fix?

Experience: Attempt to load a saved game or create a new private game. It will make it to the loading screen with the circle in the top right corner. After 15-30 seconds, it will say, “ERROR. Connection to PlayStation Network lost. Check your network connection and try again.

Just saw other posts - this May be due to PS services being down since 2021/02/26. Will update in a few days

I have been googling the issue for a couple of days now, and in my searching there were several posts were users mentioned they had a similar issue but on Xbox instead of Ps4. Unfortunately, I do not have a link as proof at present.

Ok. There are three facts that I would consider beyond any reasonable doubt:

1) The console game 7D2D did not change in any way.

2) Playstation has some undisclosed problem which might be network-related

3) Users complain about network problems since about the same time that Sony mentions the problem

I can see three possible explanations for you seeing xbox reports:

1) Coincidence. There will always be a few new players at any time having network problems when they try to play MP. While PS4 players have problems with Sony, a few random people on xbox simply bungle their setup at the same time and think they have the problems everyone has

2) Sony and Microsoft changed something in their setups at the same time, maybe to comply to new networking rules. Very unlikely, I have not heard of any new rules everyone has to follow and it would be unlikely that they change their networking on the same day when the need isn't urgent.

3) Some big provider changed HIS networking rules in some way and Sony just noticed it as some networking problem which they have a hard time analyzing. Unlikely, Sony should be able to find out the problem is external after this time, also this would mean we should see a lot more xbox players report problems (the ratio should be close to their market share). And it doesn't look to be the case here.

I did noticed that Microsoft Live had issues at the same time as Sony's issues, but it was showing all Green yesterday when I checked Microsoft Live.  I found it very interesting that both major gaming systems had networking issues at the same time.

I just checked both of them and they are both showing issues right now with gaming services.

@TheFunGimps19 Nothing has changed on the game itself - no patches or anything.  The only constant we have seen so far is that both Microsoft Live and Sony's Playstation Network had issues at the end of February and looking like it is going into March.

Both Playstation and Microsoft are experiencing issues with their Gaming services (I just checked both of their status boards).  Something is going on with both of these major gaming networks that is causing issues with people being able to play certain games.

Also - this is the PC section of the forums, not the console section

Also - TFP are a PC gaming company.  They did not port the game to consoles, that was Telltale games which went out of business (bankruptcy).
