Game won't load - ERR exception reading world header at pos 421284

"

My 7 days to die game won't start this morning, it gives me the error seen in the picture " ERR exception reading world header at pos 421284 " and then won't initialize the game and gets stuck on that screen. I tried trouble shooting by deleting the files and running it but that doesn't work, I also made a new world and copied over the main.ttw and main.ttw.bak and that didn't work. 

 

Last night the game crashed at one point and I think that may have corrupted the save file. This is very frustrating because I was 50 hours into the game and am not willing to throw all that progress away and start from the beginning  Can anyone help solve this?

I was playing in multiplayer mode with my partner, no mods, both our computers are windows 7 and everything was working peachy up until this morning when I tried to start the multiplayer server it keeps giving me errors and won't start up, any help to solve this would be much appreciated it's a great game but won't be restarting it at over 50 hours in

OK just going in for starters, keep in mind that your system does not meet minimum spec to play.

 

A screen resolution of 2048x1152 is larger than your system is capable of. You would be better off at 720p. That is an unusual ratio though. Is that a CRT?

 

World header data is corrupted. Since you're on Navezgane, try verifying the files a couple of times.

Hey, thanks for the info, the settings worked just fine before the crash, I do have an LCD monitor and not a CRT heh (haven't seen one of those in a decade !) 

 

I did what you suggested and verified my game files, no problems doing that. Then I tried again and it didn't work  same exact error keeps popping up in the console and game won't start. 

 

Any other suggestions to get it working?

Unfortunately, you probably just need to start a new save at this point. Can probably copy your character files over at least though.

Damn, such a lovely game but this is a majorly sucks to lose all progress from 50+ hours and not be able to get it back just like that...

 

How do I copy over character files?

 

I may also try playing again if I can spawn in the items we had collected over the 50 hours of gameplay.. Is there a way to forward the game time as well to the day we were at ?
