Diversify the interior ecosystem(?) or some other title about plant pots..!

Here is a short story: One of friends i play with has a habit of always picking up all the plant pots he sees, and then puts them down into our base. My friend is out looting aloooot of buildings, so you can imagine how our base looks like after a while... Plant pots on the floor, plant pots on the furniture, plant pots on the workstations, plant pots in the ceiling... Its gone so far that some kind of a cult, a plant-cult has starting to form, and im going to have to build more rooms just to make place for more plant pots!   Now dont get this wrong, i do like plant pots, they make a nice decoration, but when i see the same variant of plant pot wherever i turn my head, stepping over the same pots, accidentally picking up the same pots, furiously destroy some of the same type of pots... You kinda start to wish the plant pots had a shape-menu, offering a larger variety of decorative plants that you can rage and obsess over. 

As you can hear, this is a very first-worldly problem, so im not at all expecting the pimps to put any effort on better plants, but a person can dream i suppose!  May the plant gods shine down good luck on you!

There was a time there were very few paintings as well, but they've improved that considerably so I expect they will do the same with house plants at some point.

 

As a temporary fix, try planting farmables in your base like red and yellow ones for added color.  Just a thought.

 

EDIT: You can also scrap the plants for clay if you wish.

Yes, planting crops was also on my mind, but they require alot more rescources, they take up a total of 3 blocks in height, they cant be picked up and moved elsewhere with a simple click, and they also dont grow with roof over them? 

 

Indeed i can scrap them, but clay is not a problem, and smashing them with whatever tool/sledge you have is much more satisfying xD

However, me and 1 other have now decided to join my friend's plant-cult, so i guess i cant smash anymore plants now..!

I really don't pay attention, I just hear the glass breaking sound and cringe.  And then move on when there isn't something behind it.  (99%) of the time.

I said i DIDNT expect them to do so, only that it would have been interessting if they did! 😅   I am all aboard on them working on the bandits and other things that add more gameplay elements!

The reference I made to paintings was to just add that these guys are smart enough that I'm sure once someone has a moment to visit this there will be more plants.  It's on a list somewhere it just isn't a priority.  The seemingly random jump from very few paintings/pictures on the walls to a bunch of new ones was probably someone's pet project done in their spare time.  Plants and other decorations will probably get the same treatment... eventually.  It might also come in as an update after the 1.0 release.
