Adding more randomized spawn points?

I recently started playing again after a bit of a break and it seems the spawning system has taken a huge hit, instead of spawning randomly over the map, in 6 games and 8 deaths (trying perma death) I have spawned at the exact same location every time. On a main road, 12 meters away from a yellow car, next to a dirt road, 326 meters to the south west is the trader on the boarder of the wasteland with a working forge and cement mixer, across the street 2 cabins, next to those a small house with a functional workbench, 2 houses south of that a green 2 story with a collapsed car port has a working chem station. Is there someway to add more spawn points?

I remember playing the game back in the day and you could spawn 100 times and never in the exact same spot twice, sure you might be in the same town, or even the same grid, but never the EXACT same point.

Are there any mods that add the randomized spawning back in?

I don't know about any mods that add randomized spawning back in.
You can add them in manually though, but I guess it won't be that random as you would pick the coordinates.

Anyway, if your interested in changing or adding spawnpoints you have to go to where your world save folder is.
Usually something like this C:\Users\USER\AppData\Roaming\7DaysToDie\GeneratedWorlds\Roboe County
In that folder there is a file named spawnpoints.xml
Over there you can add spawnpoints.
To get a "new" spawnpoint/coordinate its probably best to be ingame, use DM in console and teleport(hold ctrl+ right click on map or use commands) or just travel manually to a location you want as a spawnpoint.
Once you are there, write LP  in console and it will show you the current coordinates, add those coords in spawnpoints.xml and voila.

As I said, this method won't be really random, but if you add enough spawnpoints before starting to play it might help improve your gameplay a bit.

I believe the initial spawn point is decided by what your game name is.

If you are using both the same world and the same game name you will spawn in the same place.

If you are deleting your old save and starting a new one with the same name when you die, just use a different name for your game and it should spawn you in at a different position with no modding needed.
