marquisor Posted December 22, 2020 Share Posted December 22, 2020 Hi there, quite new to the Server topic regarding usage of Compo Pack Prefabs. The world generation with Nitrogen is just fine with the Compo Pack Resources files. I did create a world with the CP46 Prefabs and copied to my 7d2d local folder. I did not yet copy the Prefabs to my 7d2d Steamfolder yet! The gameplay though is working normally for me. So if I'd like to play with a community - for EASIEST setup - does the Server and/or any Client need this Prefab installation procedure? And what if one Client does not install it or not install it correctly? Are there just buildings gone he cannot see but others can? bdubyah Posted December 23, 2020 Share Posted December 23, 2020 I think the server pushes prefabs, so they will be able to see them. The only thing not installing them locally causes is that they won't see the distant meshes for POIs. So they will pop in for those people when they get close.
