dKz
hi, i'm playing on a non-dedicated server generated with some friends and we decided to destroy a building (tower) on a hill and start building our fortress, the problem is that when we move away at about 200 / 300m we see the building that we destroyed floating on the hill and if we get closer it disappears and we only see our fortress, we destroy the tower by chopping the pillars and making it fall, is there a possible solution? Jugginator
That will be solved in a future patch (work in progress) Have fun
stample
What you're seeing is the imposter that the base map says exists there. It's how you see buildings that are too far away to be rendered without tanking performance. When you get close, it goes away and renders the actual blocks, which is your base. As Jugginator said, its something they are working on.
Danidas
As others have said currently at world gen the game creates a second ultra low quality world map that gets displayed for distant terrain/structures. Which currently is not updated by player actions but in the future they are planing on fixing it to a extent. With out this second low quality map anything beyond your render distance would be black void hidden my fake fog like in older versions of the game. eXSe
Yeah, my buddies and I had a similar problem with a hill we dug out to make a road (a shortcut to be more precise) to our base. Kinda funny to see it when you're further away, but also it was a reminder of the feat we've done
