v81 Posted December 1, 2020 Share Posted December 1, 2020 Have played 7DTD for 50-100 hours every 6 months or so the last few years. Some of the progress is cool, other parts are frustrating. The last year or so the whole skills/perks thing have become a hot mess, and poorly documented in game. A while back the skills related to crafting higher quality tools, weapons etc were clearly labeled, but not they're all changed and/or not so clearly labeled. Trying to search info on this is an exercise in frustration as a bulk of the info i find refers to older versions of the game where things were as i remembered them. So could someone please clearly explain what is required now to improved the crafting quality of tools, guns, clubs etc... Also, finding it real hard to enjoy solo time in this game, some times i just want to chill with my own thoughts. Any suggestions on how i could make my way in game solo without pretty much... cheating with large modifications to XP and so on? Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...
meganoth Posted December 1, 2020 Share Posted December 1, 2020 Tools like all axes and pickaxes, shovels hammers and motor tools are all governed by Miner69. All weapons have their specific perks distributed over the attributes (hint: smg is with the handguns, stun baton an INT melee weapon and personal turrets in INT as well). And light armor is in agility, heavy armor in strength. Wrench type tools have a perk in Perception. There are hundreds of ways to chill depending on what you want. You can at any time disable zombies and turn them on later again. Setting difficulty to the lowest setting naturally. Or just giving you some advanced gun or superior armor from creative menue. Setting XP to 200% is NOT the way to chill. Since your level (which goes up faster with more XP) determines how fast you get more dangerous zombies you will just get running and glowing zombies much faster, but don't have the time to get a good amount of ammo, concrete and steel to combat them easily. Really, to relax you should set XP to 50%, strange as it may sound. Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...
