Nerhesi
Hi Folks, New player here that ended up buying a nitrado server and running a game with 6 friends. I used a recommended seed due to the great inclusion of Top7 and top15 POIs etc etc.... then I realised the dedicated servers generate seeds slightly differently. It didnt include the Red Mesa Installation or any Army Bases... We wont want to restart since its been almost 2 weeks, but we would like to incorporate a handful of the missing POIs. Any tips on the easiest way to do so?
arramus
My buddy wanted to import a base they made in one map back into another backed up one that didn't have it because something got seriously corrupted in another location. They could do it successfully using the world editor built into the game as this was the most stable editing method. I presume you could first download the World map on the server and open it in the editor. Add the Prefabs you are missing anywhere you like and upload it back to the server again. As these are Prefabs already built into the game, your friends will already have the assets inside the buildings in their own game files as Red Mesa and Army Bases make awesome quest locations and are configured for them. Upon joining the server, you will prompted to download the World map again but, in our case at least, everything else remained exactly the same as we left it structurally and all the player skill levels, etc remained intact. Using the world editor requires a bit of learning but YouTube has some decent tutorials. I believe this is the easiest way to do it although I'm sure others will tell you an easier way if it exists. If all fails, you will still have the original map to fall back on.
