Invisible zombies ?

Hello,

 

I have strange bug in game i explain :

 

I start a new game and i took bleed damage skill : when i bleed a zombie, i go away and wait his death by bleed : the zombie die, but i don't get exp when he die by bleed damage (and gain xp on direct death).

 

So, i delete 7 days to die data and unisinstall the game. I reinstall it, and this bug with bleed diapear.

 

But now, i have (sometimes) a strange bug : i go in a room and hear zombies who hit a door but see nothing : and when i go in the room, they suddenly appear.

 

It is a normal bug in the game, or only a problem with my game ?

you just basically say you have an issue but... more info is needed if the guys/gals here are to help.  think of it as a doctor visit for an ache... you have to show him and tell him where its at.

An other thing : my base is a tower (hight like trees). In night, i dig depht for stone. When day come back : i had a surprise : a corner was destroied and lot of debris was everywher. Bug ? Or ennemy can destroy block who are very highter ? Why there are debris ?

 

I know i have lot of question, but this game is really super, a great job and great idea, and it is disturbing if i have bug (but maybe it's not bug, i hope) who break the experience.

If you dig under your base, it collapse. You should dig away from your base.

Probably because it lost stability from mining under the base.

 

Small holes are ok, like a tunnel, but a large hole will cause instability.

 

You can check the stability of your base while in debug mode by pressing "esc" then checking the box that says "check stability".

Any unstable blocks will be dark or black. Stable blocks are green. If you connect to a block that is unstable it will collapse.

I quit the game and restart : same problem.

I go away : quest failed : the house (where is the quest) is destroyed on side.

 

Other thing : after this problem, zombies don't give exp on bleeding when they die and i'm not in debug mode.

The only problem I see in your output log is that your world was made in the experimental build.

Invisible zombies, for example, are caused by loading an older version of entityclasses.xml in the new

game engine.

 

The only fix I know is to delete the world, clean all your game data, and start over.

Maybe someone else knows a better solution.

Yes it will delete your world.

You could uncheck the boxes that delete the maps, which would keep your world, but I don't think it will fix your problems.

Also, validate your files through steam.

so something wasn't cleaned up.

 

The worlds are in the 7 Days to Die/Data/Worlds folder. Validations should clean that up, I would

delete the worlds and validate again to get the right ones.

How to Clean out old data:

  1. Start the game from your library
  2. Select show game launcher
  3. Click in the tools tab
  4. Click on clean game files and check all options
  5. Click clean

Obviously don't do this if you want to play pre-A19 saves or worlds later.

 

P.S. Delete the Mods folder from your client directory to ensure you do not have any old/incompatible mods installed.
