I don't have the patience to complete tier five missions

In A20 hopefully they will replaced the quest menu with a tabbed one that will allow you to select missions for any tier that you have unlocked. So once you reach tier 5 you can easily go back to tier 1 to 4 missions when ever you want to. As they talked about wanting to do this a while back and were waiting to redo some of the menus to implement it.

I've never taken the time to work up to Tier 5 quests. I keep hearing about how crazy long they are, maybe this weekend I'll have to try to unlock them to see for myself.

I've been playing for couple of real life days now and I still haven't reached Tier 2. How do you even rush through the list that high so fast?

Earlier tier quests you can usually do a couple a day.   When I play, I pretty much do non stop quests unless I'm mining or building.  Doesn't take too long to get up to tier 5.

I guess I should mention I think I'm already up to Tier 4 on that particular map. The group I play with doesn't do a lot of questing but we did make it that far before returning to smashing cars with ratchets.

It's 10 quests to a new tier. By the time I finish the first 7 quests, I'm usually too tired to go on and have to get some rest.

Just out of curiosity how do you cheese a quest?

I think they mean clearing out the building before hitting the quest marker. Then when the building is empty, hit the quest marker and everything will reset. So double experience and double loot.

Maybe.... I took their comment to mean it takes them a long time to do the quests because they don't cheese.... but I might've read it wrong.

Actually, after reading the posts again, I think I'm the one who read it wrong.

My guess would be "cheesing" by going only for fetch quests and rushing to the satchel and leave, ignoring everything else.

I'm not aware of ways to cheese "clear areas" and "clear+fetch" quests.

(Maybe collapse the building for clear ones?)

They take too long. You have too many targets that you need to clear on too many levels and the radar you have only gives you a general idea of where they're at.

If you're too far away your radar doesn't work at all.

actually .. dishong takes too long and its not worth the time

construction site is quick ..

waterworks wont take even  1/2  day as well

6 floor apartment can be cleared within day

factory sucks early ... but once you  shooting its 1/2 day or less

also keep in mind that every poi have fixed way that allow you go through  poi  withou breaking / building single block  .. and this "intended way"  trigger every single zombie group

yep rewards dotn scale too well ... maybe if they  add better progresion to quests ....  low quality primitive stuff  or consumable for t1  and endgame stuff forr  t5 then maybe

but treat quest as bonus .... its about all the xp  and loot during it as well ... its not like you wasting time with no reward to get few dukes

1) run to dishong

2)  nerdpole

3)  watch fetch marker it  will show you when your each correct floor

4) kill 1-5 zombies than notice you  on way to it

personally i would  call cheesing  any fetch withou full clear same as any nerdpoling to loot /entering by backdoor exit right into  lot room

I kind of figured thats what they meant.   However, there are no tier 4 or 5 fetch quests.... only clear and fetch+clear.

So doing the fetch of a fetch quest is cheezing?   I respectfully disagree.... if the quest is only to fetch an item... and you fetch that item, I'd call that "doing the quest"

But like I said earlier, there is no fetch only quest for tier 4 or 5.

fetch  in  a fetch quest would  be fine ... if you didnt have magical  gps that show you corect place even outside poi

allowing you to get in and out avoiding  90% work

sure  it would be fine  if you blindly searched poin and get tracker once you get within  10 meters of package i know you have to be against everything  people say  or think ....  but even you must admit that completing tier 5 endgame  quest within 30-60 sec and ofte killing no zombie at all is cheesy

You're looking in the wrong place.   The quests exist, but they're not offered.

I'm a quest fiend, and I can somewhat agree with them being a bit grindy. I personally only take them just after a hoard night so I have plenty of recovery time for materials.

Being a quest fiend, I always sink at least a single point into Daring Adventurer for the additional loot choice. Makes a difference. If the point is that tier 5 quests are too grindy/boring, that's likely to be adjusted. I wouldn't say they aren't worth doing on their face, however. I think part of the issue is the loot table for the rewards is a tad too low. I think they leave them a certain way because the tier 5 locations are supposed to have some pretty hefty loot rooms as well as a ton of salvageables. If you make a few days of it, you can come away stacked for the week. Better if you cheese it and clear it once and let it respawn once you start the quest ; )

an idea that just struck me for solo play is tune up the loot abundance for you tier 5 quest, if you want it to be a bit jucier.

I do the T5 quests mainly because of the chance to get Q6 items. The factories and the apartment complex are ok but the skyscrapers still need some fine-tuning.

How is dishong/higashi a waste of time? You get a ton of everything and loads of XP in one place. Crack a book is a breeze anyways.

And now that not only the last location of zombies is shown with the yellow dots, the clearing really isn´t a problem anymore.

It´s timeconsuming, yes. But doing small POI´s and getting the same amount of ressources and XP takes longer.

I never saw a fetch only T5 quest so far in A19 btw. Wouldn´t do them anyways, the rewards aren´t as good as for clear.

You are all a bunch of sad misguided meta-gamers who look at buildings only as a lootbox. For you TFP could as well just put rectangular cubes of differing sizes onto the map and call them POIs 😋

If only the loot interests you you might as well just farm the smallest T5 once you are on the lookout for quality 6 items, before that tier3 probably offers some of the best value for your precious grind time. And naturally a missed sleeper is a major obstacle which decreases your farm efficiency to unacceptable values.

I hope there are still players around who can appreciate the design of Dishong as a building and as a dungeon. I only go into Dishong after a few (real-time) months have passed so I don't get into this state of seeing it only as a string of lootboxes. Dishong is for immersion, not for your industrial loot production.

😉

Just picking fetch quests, nerd poling up to a spot close to the satchel, digging thru the wall to grab it, then grabbing the end loot the same way before bolting.

Isn't that the point of fetch quests?   I find it odd that you consider doing the quest as listed as cheesing.
