Some tips and tricks for A19 I discovered.

I don't know if some of these are intended or not but there is 2 tricks i've found out on my own.

1: Stamina regen, when you drink you notice how there is that counter that counts down? well, it can store up to 20 above your cap, which then is used slowly as its needed, however what you may not know is for as long as that counter stays there, you gain the stamina regen bonus from drinking till its gone, which can last upwards of 3-5 minutes per boiled water, its only 1 more stamina per tick regen but it makes a bigger difference than you think. Any water over that 20 overflow cap though is used at 1 per second till it hits 20. Same trick works for food too, it can store 20 over cap, but there is no real benefit to it compared to water.

2: Infinite water, this trick has been around for a while, to do it all you need is a stone shovel and a bucket, and a initial water source. You dig a 5 block wide, 1 deep trench, then take the bucket of water and dump it in the middle of the ditch, wait a few seconds, now pick up the water you just placed at the end of it, you'll notice some stays behind, now move a block over or 2, and place the water from the bucket again, Viola filled ditch, (Might need a 3rd pick up and drop). Store the bucket in a storage chest near the ditch, when you fill water jars, just take the bucket out, pickup the water left in the ditch and just replace it to refill it. Boom infinite drinking water for 7 forged iron and some stones and wood. Only issue you may have doing this is finding a initial water source to use the bucket on once.

3: Food, Dysentery is not that big of a problem in A19, it causes periodic food/water (mostly water) loss, and will go away on its own once it counts down, drinking goldenrod tea makes it go away a tad faster, and the food/water drains gets reduced (I think). If your struggling eat those sham sandwhiches, its a 12% chance of dysentery, and after eating 10+ of those sandwhiches I finally managed to catch it. You can also use a vitamin right before, it makes you immune to disease for 10 mins. Early game vitamins are like gold, as they let you eat pretty much anything for 10 minutes, though it is a bit more risky now that some foods cause health damage when eaten, like animal fat and the sham sandwhiches.

4: Quest often: I cannot stress this enough, when you start a quest your given a fresh poi to loot, even if you don't double loot it (Loot it before quest then use quest ! to reset it), you earn dukes, a nice chunk of exp, and loot, and it gives you something to do. I never double dip on poi's myself so thats up to you. Only way I do is if I happen to get a quest for a poi I already quested at, which with the random nature of the quests sometimes happens. Only poi's I loot without a quest are the ones that never get them, like some stores. Only downside to questing is sometimes you have to run 1 km+ to the quest, which before a vehicle really kinda sucks.

You got any tips to add? I am also curious if #1 is intended by the devs or if it was a oversight.

#1 is definitely intended, I feel like the game even tells you about it somewhere? The fact you can only hold up to 20 extra before you start getting diminishing returns is a bit unintuitive though.

#2 and definitely the whole "quests resetting POIs, so loot them first then loot them again for free" are definitely iffy. #2 is straight up an exploit and I imagine it'll get fixed eventually (absurdly low priority obviously) but #4 is likely either not fixable or a major undertaking to fix.

Oh BTW, storing extra food does have a purpose. If you have the "increased max stamina" buff better foods give, that will not count down while you have bonus food.

Its not even that complicated..... take a bucket of water and empty it on the ground.   Fill a stack of empty jars using the spilled water.... this will use up half of what you poured.   Fill the bucket back up with the remaining water.  Repeat as needed.

Intersting didn't know it did that. Wonder if you could keep it top offed so you always keep the buff?

Actually, MadMole commented on this somewhere and he doesn't consider it an exploit and said he frequently does it himself. Either way, he did say it wouldn't change . . . Of course we all know how that goes with Pimps sometimes. 🙄

Also, my tip for the day. Make stone shovel early and gather all the blue pallets you can see from the outside and those you encounter while questing/looting. Super easy to have enough cobblestone for a basic horde base in a few days.

Get the cement packs too, as it saves you a ton of time melting down stone to make that part of cement mix. Some of those can give over 100.

Weapon/tool/armour mods...don't sell them! Adding a mod to a weapon or whatever you are going to sell drastically increases the amount of Dukes you'll get for it.  Pro-tip is to save them for later game as higher Tier/Quality means a bigger return when you add a mod.  I've seen mods worth 38 Dukes add 400 - 500 Dukes to the sell price of the base item.

The Buried Treasure quests...there's a new type of indicator for A19 and a new method for reducing the amount to have to dig.  When the ring reduces in size after 10 blocks dug (less with perks), you can notice there is an 'anchor point' to the ring...a point where the ring pretty much stays in its original position.  The treasure will be near this anchor point.  I made up a quick image to hopefully illustrate what I mean.  You can mark the original ring with haybales or woodframes, or by simply removing all the grass from within...whatever works for you.

Edit: Not 100% sure it works as well with Treasure Maps...I've only done a couple of those.

It works with treasure maps as well but their radius is MUCH larger so it can be really hard to find the anchor point, especially if it's near the center.

Yeah I noticed the anchor point thing as well when doing them I usually dig 4 blocks down then just dig random blocks out to see which way the circle contracts, then I start heading that tway. I don't dig on the surface as I like my worlds to be clean, when I open the chest I use 4 wood frames to nerdpole out of the hole, gotta be quick thou especially at night, cuz those zombies will gps right down to you if you try to stay in the hole. First few trader quests I do in tier 1 is usually buried supplies, gets me some recipes, some food, and some clay so I don't need to go digging for it later when I get forges going. By the time I need it later after doing a few buried supplies quests, I usually can 1-2 shot the blocks so its easy to get clay later.
