Can we please tone down the Direwolf spawn early on

This is seriously getting ridiculous. I play warrior level perma-death.

My last 4 play-throughs have all ended before day 4 with a direwolf jumping me without any warning. They are silent and seem to simply appear next to you. (possibly a spawning issue)

Being armed with only a stick with a rock on the end thanks to not being permitted to loot a gun anymore, it seems crazy that direwolfs seem to be everywhere. Surely with weapons gated by gamestage, elite creatures like this should also be gated or atleast ultra rare. They currently seem to be in every single town and village at gamestage 1.

Was this at night? I make sure I have a secure base and spend the night there. I haven't had any problems with the big predators during the day. I do run into them at night, anytime after 22 hours I think.

This has already been mentioned in other posts.

I have not seen any dire wolves except at night on low game stages.

I did see a wolf mauling a businessman, so I took a pot shot or 2 from the roof of the building I was staying in and thought I killed the wolf.  Got down to skin him, and found the businessman, and then I heard a growl behind me, thankfully the wolf was almost dead and only got 1 good bite in before I made him my next meal.

As of the EXP 169 or w/e, Direwolves and such only spawn at night.
In green biomes, you can still see them, just very rarely during the day.
Its part of incentive to go out more at night.

Wait till you guys realize sleepers respawn 100% of the time in the wasteland at 2200. LOL

Night time is a HUGE exp farm now. :D

The deaths have all been at night but I have seen a lot during the day time as well - this is also the first few days. I dont want them removed just made rare like they are supposed to be. On my last map there was atleast one in every single town. I have never encountered one in the wild, only in towns.

If you want big predator problems go to the snow biome. Lol they are literally everywhere. On a recent game my first ever clear mission took me into the snow biome. Mountain lions, bears and direwolves literally everywhere. Thanks god it was daytime so I could thread the needle between them and also avoid the lumberjacks!

This is working as intended.  The devs are moving towards some biomes being harder.  The snow biome is no longer a cake walk.

Also, I dont have any sympathy for anyone requesting a nerf when they choose to play a higher difficulty (warrior/permadeath)....🤣

Haven't had any problems with wolves or anything in the beginning.
Back in the days it was complaining about the dogs and now its the wolves and/or still dogs.

This is a survival game and what does help is good sound, good headphones or speakers so you know what direction its coming from.
In real life, wolves can be loud to for example regroup if the group is splintered, but they also can be quiet when attacking their prey.
In 7 days to die, specially at Warrior level, you always want to keep looking around you in 360 angle for threats.

As soon as you see one wolf or dog, DUCK and get into stealth mode, back the F away.
If that doesn't work, RUN (and make sure u have created certain blocks like ladder or frame) that you have in your toolbar and get to a higher ground compared to the animal.

Lot's of different options you can do when encountering these creatures without a gun to put them down.
If it is still too hard for you,  maybe don't go for Warrior difficulty then.

What I'm trying to say:  Adapt. As i said, it is a survival game, you adapt, learn, or die and keep dying.

There’s finally a risk to going outside at night again. They tried with the feral zombies in A18 but have finally brought it home with the predators.

If you’re playing one death then risk assessment is a big part of the game. Choose sorting, mining, building, or looting a previously cleared POI for less risk. Run around outside for more risk.

Oddly enough, with this build so far I haven't run into any predators big or small. I've been living off of chickens and wabbits. I still cower in my base at night. But I've got a 9mm with a full Auto mod and I'm fixing to get a full set of leather armor so I'll be a little more willing to take a risk at night.
