Bug A19 B 177 with Loot all "R"

Recommended Posts

every time I try to loot all using R on any container since the patch B177 the console pops up and gives me this error "NullReferenceException: Object reference not set to an instance of an object"

Now I do have Riles HUD mod on it but it was working fine before B177 update, any help would be awesome, thanks!

I have found that with today's update came a few minor inconveniences. Those being a few mods don't seem to work with the R (take all) function intentionally or non-intentional changes by TFP.  I confirmed these finding with a friend on my solo game as well as his. The mods impacted by the update appear to be.

RNG be gone.

Harry's Vehicle Mods

More containers

This is just a FYI post.  I am really sad to have to remove RNG and Harry's. RNG just makes the game better all around and Harry's brings a level of customization to vehicles that every gearhead can appreciate.

Edit: After more digging it turns out there is nothing wrong with the above mods and that there is something wrong with A19.177 update. Something they did related to R (Take All) function.

This is thew exact error I get when pressing R (Loot All) from the log file. This error occurs on all type of containers within the game.

I am experiencing the exact same issue and I am running a completely vanilla game. No mods whatsoever.

The sort button also doesn't work (no error, just when you click, nothing happens except the sound the button makes)

I updated the server last night via steamcmd on a machine running Ubuntu server.

Would need logs from both client and server.

Could it be because he didn't create a new game?

Unsure. Haven't had an issue playing b173 games on b177 so far, but haven't tested anything from an older save. That's kind of why we need to see the logs. To try and determine what exactly is going on there.

I tested all the 3 of the inventory buttons in the backpack and other containers in build 177 and had no errors. (SP, clean install, no mods).

Should be easy to isolate.  After revalidating, and deleting/renaming mods folder, start a new SP game.  If no errors, its isolated to a mod or maybe version mismatch with client/server.

Are you playing a brand new world created in b177?

No I am playing one prior to b177 navegain map. Going to gen a new map without mods and  see if that does anything. Will report back.

I just generated a 16x16 map and the R (Loot all) is no longer producing the error.  I am going to go through all my mods one by one and see which if any breaks it. I do not know if a mod caused the failure or if it was the old map that was made prior to B177 yet.

OK, so the error was being produced by PHD's Bigger Backpacks and Secure storage. I put that mod in and poof R loot all stopped working.  Removed mod and it worked.  There is a update to this mod so I am going to try that and see if all is well.

Mac Client Log: https://pastebin.com/nYGNzSuy.

Windows 10 Client Log: https://pastebin.com/ANK2fyRa

Ubuntu Server Log: https://pastebin.com/QtQgzwmM

also noticed the inventory is broken on motorcycles when it is selected holding "e" and navigating and letting go of click on inventory hover. (happened on Windows client) all other functions work with the motorcycle expanded menu.

While on the Windows machine, the "r" key started to work on looted items and all containers (last night). I don't know how I could recreate this. The Other Windows 10 users at the time are still experiencing this bug.

That's what I get for trying to update at midnight. I installed the update to a totally dif directory instead of pointing to my existing one. Thanks for the help, and I'll take a look at my logs a bit close next time!
