Lord Shakaka
Playing on a friend's PVE server and was playing fine until day 15. Left a bicycle out in the world. Went to log back in. Got the 'creating player...' and the admin window pops up showing INF Discarding NetPackagePlayerStats for entity repeating over and over. Validated files in steam. Wiped local game data. Attempted several restarts of game and reboots of computer. No luck. Another player was able to log into the server. Created new game locally and it came up fine. Not sure what caused this but it will not let me rejoin the server. output_log__2020-07-25__21-43-34.txt
Purize
A friend who plays on a server with me is also having this problem. The command menu pops up in the loading screen and the same command spams: INF Discarding NetPackagePlayerStats entity id=171 It's only happened to her. We tried deleting her player data from the server and it reset all of her items and levels like she was a new player joining for the first time. It worked until the logged out and tried to rejoin and the error message in the loading screen popped up again... so it seems that deleting the player data was only a temporary fix. We're not sure if it's a problem on her end with her game or computer (she has restarted her computer and uninstalled and reinstalled the game as well, which didn't work.) Or maybe it's a problem with the server itself. It would be amazing if we could find a fix for this.
meganoth
Could she rejoin multiple times before that without problems or did this happen immediately at the first re-log on this server? It is safe to say that the player file on the server gets corrupted. To find out why you would ideally have to collect some information (please read the howto sticky thread in this or in the bug section): 1) delete her player file on the server again 2) she would have to wipe her data again and then log in to the server, play a bit and log out again. Stop client and server and copy her player file on the server and the output logs of server and client to a save place. 3) Then relog and see if the null ref exception happens again. Again stop client and server and copy player file on the server and both output logs. Then post all those copied files either here or in the bug report forum.
