morning all. below are a couple ideas that a few friends of mine and i have came up with while playing the game since its release on steam last year: while yes the stock guns are quite nice and give you a plethora of options to kill anything that moves. a few customization options that could easily be implemented alongside a number of other features that are on the public roadmap currently would be nice. such as oil filter suppressors that have the effect of reducing the amount of attention you attract to yourself while operating, foregrips adding stabilization and reducing spread (made from the users choice of wood or iron [since plastics arent really a thing]), collapsible stocks making weapons more easily maneuverable with (there isnt really a noticeable impediment when sprinting with what looks like a fullsize .308 rifle [sniper rifle] like what one would experience irl with one.), and scopes of different sorts (aimpoint, eotech, PSO-1, different irons styles.) which could tie in with already existing batterys, forging, and book recipes. reclaiming lost technologies such as: electric/LED lights (made from forged brass and consumes energy from either batteries or having the option to link up to a generator.), generators fashioned from a vehicle engine when vehicles are implemented, photovoltaic cells/generators made from copper sheets (scrap brass) glass panes and some wizardry (green home improvement recipe book/magazine?), kerosene and kerosene lamps, weed burner/flammenwerfer weapon (recipe book?), RDX/C4/c3/plastic explosive (anarchists cookbook recipe book [even though their recipes for it dont work and will kill you while making it]) , molotovs (see previous idea for source), fragmentation grenades-upgraded pipe bombs with larger area of effect, and lastly rammed earth blocks made from fertiledirt and similar entities (using a wooden husk or other mechanic.) with a damage rating similar to base level concrete without the option of being upgraded except with wood/iron rebar.
