ElCabong
It was always a challenge pedalling up one. Hope they keep the roads going through lakes with the waters parted. Feels like I'm playing the game with Moses.
Boidster
Maybe not in your world, but I've got one. Pretty normal terrain then suddenly there's this POI (one of the fence-made-of-flattened-cars trailer POIs) that is sitting on a 20 block high plinth. There is a gravel path winding up the hill that makes a sharp upturn to meet the POIs 'ground level'. Probably it would be okay if the game had a way to smoothly transition from the edge of the POI on the hillside down to the terrain on the downward slope. Instead of a cliff face. If I can find it again I'll post a pic. One of my complaints about NitroGen was that it had too many roads that go nowhere. Vanilla RWG doesn't really suffer from that problem, at least. The major roads always lead to towns and the minor roads at least have a cabin or something at the end.

ALL roads in NitroGen go to a POI or POI group. Thats always their start and endpoint. There are not dead ends for country roads. They just might not be right onto the POIs driveway. RWG solves that by making a small road along the front of the POI, but that also looks off sometimes. The roads in the city grid block have some dead ends. But its a very short piece of driveway. Possibly the start or endpoint, but our NitroGen map has plenty of roads - asphalt ones even - that just trail off and stop. They aren't tied to any logical city block or tying one town to another. You travel along and then the road just...ends. Not at a POI. We have entire towns that have no connector roads to them. They have roads amongst the POIs, but the town itself is not road-connected to the rest of the map. Here is a POI that is just orphaned - with its own little baby roads, yes, but disconnected from everything else. Here is a grouping of POIs, disconnected from the rest of the map. You can see a road segment to the south, that would be what I meant by "going nowhere", but I can see that yes it does start at a POI. So it definitely "started somewhere". Possibly the desert ate the road, which does make sense. 🙂 I love NitroGen and this is not a huge complaint. It just takes some getting used to. ElCabong
Oh good. I might run into a lake where Moses parted the waters after all.
Dracula
I miss being able to build my own roads to connect the little segments; it was oddly cathartic.
