Valetrix
Hi Guys!! Please can someone help me? I recently started playing 7 days to die, while I realize that the game is still in alpha - I am really having problems getting the game to save when ever I exit. Originally I thought it may have been the EAC, but that wasn't the case. Next I tried starting the launcher and the game in admin mode, it still didnt save. Finally I thought maybe the latest update fixed my issue, but it didn't. I've played 13 hours of this game, this was a single player play through and was done in 1 go. I went to bed thinking the game was saved, woke up and realized my character with all the items in my inventory was reset. I lost all my levels and all my loot. Strangely enough tho, the structures that I built and the loot in the chests of the structure I built was still there. It was only my character that reset. Not only did my character reset but I also re-spawned at the other side of the map (despite my character didnt die). Please can you tell me how I can fix this issue? I have really worked hard in my save and don't want to loose anything. I don't mind using console commands to get my character back to where I was, but it feels cheaty to keep choosing new skill points everytime I load up the save. SylenThunder
Did you exclude the client from security software? Can you provide a log?
Valetrix
When you say security software, do you mean my antivirus? I will look for the log files as soon as I get home then I will post them here. I have tried opening the console and typing in "saveworld" which lets me know that the world is saved. On line 373. Could it be because my name has some symbols and stuff in it? I will try changing my steam name and then check if it still doesnt save
Valetrix
Oky, I can confirm having unicode characters in your name caused the game not to be able to save
