Steam auth failed Crashing game on death

This was initially an issue my girlfriend had last week and we fixed it by completely uninstalling steam and deleting her ttp files from our server and then it started happening to me. The issue was not isolated to our server and was happening when she joined other servers and required a combination of clean install and removing her ttp files.

We've played on this server for months without issue and this was prior to the new update. We have found other entries from years ago with no direct explanation or fix.

 

I die, respawn which replays the death screen and crashes the game in an endless loop.
