th3s0n1c
I'm playing on A18.2 and in the needle and thread books, the ultimate reward says "you can craft military clothing". As seen on TFP's official video about it: I just completed all the books for Needle & Thread and I was happily on my way to finally be able to get a lvl 5 military pants (couldnt find any higher than 4, which is what I'm wearing) but my workbench says the military clothing is locked by schematics. So... what's up with that? Am I missing something?
RipClaw
Military clothing means BDU top and BDU bottom. Clothing has no quality. What you want is military leg armor. You need a schematic and armor parts for this and to craft a Q5 you need to put points into Light Armor.
th3s0n1c
Military clothing means BDU top and BDU bottom. Clothing has no quality. That's BS. That's stupid in so many ways! I can find BDU clothing all over. That shouldnt be a reward for completing the 7 books. Unless you are very lucky, it takes about 70 levels worth of playthrough to get all the book volumes of a series, so the reward should be... rewarding. Allowing me to craft BDUs is not a reward. It should be swapped with vol 7, so that Cargo storage pockets should be the reward, then.

Perhaps the Ghillie Suit should be unlocked by Needle and Thread rather than BDUs... because like you said, BDUs are so easy to find.
FA_Q2
Ya, that book set is pointless. The cargo pockets is the only good book and it is a REALLY good one. Just a matter of balance, I don't think TFP has found a nice niche for that set yet.
Vedui
Good point. Perhaps the Ghillie Suit should be unlocked by Needle and Thread rather than BDUs... because like you said, BDUs are so easy to find. The funny thing about the Ghillie suit though is that it for the headgear replaces your helmet. Which is terrible for armor. Maybe they should all be cosmetic mods for normal armour instead, so that you can wear your favorite armour and still have the "ghillie" suit on top of it
