how fix this : InvalidCastException: cannot cast from source type to destination type

i got this laways when i walk spesific area on our base. its underground. above that same spot i dont get this error on console.

 

i also reinstall game. nothing helped... how fix this without loosing all my work on my own server..

my server giver (bluefangsolutions) cannot help me so i come to here to get help about this...

No other option. The pimps specifically said that 10.4 is not save-game compatible with previous versions.

Don't listen to them, that savegame talk is just bull♥♥♥♥.

I am not sure about how to solve this error, but since the core saves haven't been touched by the latest update you DO NOT have to start from scratch.

We're just repeating what the developers of the game have said about it. If there is a way to boot an old save it isn't supported by the devs.

I took the nuclear option and deleted all the new supply boxes from the blocks.xml. Problem solved.... Boxes just turn black. Destroy them.

- When you CAN connect to 10.4 server throw away your hat, else you have to delete your save/profile, make new profile and CHANGE HAIR

- on server files/or single player own file system, file BLOCKS.XML, change all new storage chests from "SecureLoot" to "Loot"

- ingame take all loot from these storage boxes and DESTROY THE BOXES afterwards

- restore your changes to the blocks.xml file

- happy playing

The black boxes are worse... can't even hit them and you get stuck if you touch it.

Sorry about the black box thing. Never got to try and destroy a box. Was just trying to make the server not throw out errors. My friends are not so good at bug reporting. They just want it to run. I'm a little slow myself sometimes.

I just got this error, and its world started after 11.3 patch. So its not save game problem. Destroyed and rebuild forge, didn't help.

i got this problem aswell and using darkness falls and NO i dont start over this is the 2nd time i had to start over and that is not an option there must be an fix for it

Might try checking the current Darkness Falls thread instead of reviving a thread that died over 4 years ago.
