peitum
Hi, I've recently gotten back into playing. I have 7 Days on steam, and want to be able to play it without steam also running. I've launched the game without EAC, and also put steam into offline mode when I launch it (as per some instructions I found through google)... but as soon as I exit steam, 7 days automatically shuts down too. How do I fix this? Thanks in advance for any help.
SylenThunder
Put Steam into Offline mode, then play the game. Almost every Steam game will shut down if you exit Steam.
peitum
And there's no way to launch the game without opening steam up at all?

peitum
"C:\Program Files (x86)\Steam\steamapps\common\7 Days To Die\7DaysToDie.exe" Unfortunately, that just gives me a screen saying: Could not fully initialize steam, the steam client is not running or no connection is possible." There is a button that says "play offline" but it's greyed out and clicking on it doesn't do anything.
SylenThunder
No, it's the nature of Steam's DRM. You must have Steam running in order to play the games from Steam. Just like Uplay games require the Uplay launcher, and Arc games require the Arc launcher. What you seek isn't possible, and hasn't been for most games like this since 2011. peitum
Ugh, that figures. Guess I'll figure something else out. Thanks for the help anyway.
