RTX 2060 6GB can only run game on half texture

I have a 1060 6Gb and can run full textures no problem.

Maybe it's a driver issue?

That's at 1080p.

Same here. Though I do have other settings set a bit lower for fps stability... stuff that doesn't really matter anyways.

From what I know Nvidia handles Ambient Occlusion much more efficient than AMD and I am running an AMD R9 580 6GB (fair amount slower than yours) and I get 30 fps in even the worst of condition at max minus.

Low water

Low reflections

Off Reflected Shadows

That has helped a lot.

I can get about 5-8 more FPS with SAO off, but it looks like garbage so I leave it on.

Reflections being a CPU task due to all the added draw calls. Reflected shadows being a CPU task due to all the added draw calls.

What's your CPU? What resolution are you running the game at? Are you using Vulkan?

When you say "can't run" with full textures, do you mean the game won't start or

crashes? Or do you mean you get a bad frame rate? Or, it looks weird?

Can you post a log?

FPS is the issue. I run fine for a few minutes to an hour plus at 100 plus frames then it will drop out of the blue to 10 or less. The only fix is to log all the way out and back in or turn full textures to half. How do I get a log?

Ah, maybe that's a memory leak. That used to happen to me if I left Firefox running

in the background while playing.

You can alt/tab out of the game when your FPS dies, and check Task Manager or

Resourse Manager to see how much memory/cpu/vram etc. is being used, and by

what programs, or if another process is doing something that is causing the slowdown.

Maybe it's heat related too. You can install HWInfo to check that.

And of course it could still be a driver issue.

Some other things to try.

1: Disabling Anistropic Filtering in the Nvidia control panel is supposed to help.

2: I've seen some posts saying that Windows 10 HDR doesn't play nice with RTX

cards, so disable that.

How do I get a log?
