Incarnate
Hello everyone. As I've found out, player placed loot containers does not respawn loot, only world generated loot containers will. I find this to be quite odd and very displeasing, and isn't actually very helpful for server owners, admins, content creators who want to create their own interesting areas for their players to explore, loot and re-visit from time to time. So I'm wondering if there is a way to change this, to make the player placed loot containers respawn loot, aside from creating prefabs with helper blocks. Anything that can be done to alleviate this problem? Thanks in advance. /Inc.
Laz Man
In the short, the best suggestion is to have your content creators use the prefab editor to create new POIs. Not sure if spawning a POI into an existing world would be anything different though unless it was park of some type of chunk reset. As a side note, if player created containers allowed respawned loot, it would be massively exploited on MP servers. Something to be considered. Something to be considered. Back in A8 or so when player placed containers DID spawn loot we built huge vaults of gun safes and everything for infinite supplies. =) The prefab editor is a much better tool for that in every way. Do it properly and your POI can be a quest location or anything you want, not just the amateur version.
