I was just driving all my vehicles today and I feel as though motorcycles should have reduced space, they're a very overpowered vehicle. Most people don't make the 4x4 because its a lot slower and is harder to control. The few more spaces of storage still doesn't make it a comparable choice to the motorcycle. I feel like reducing the motorcycle space in half would be more balanced because right now there is no incentive to make the 4x4 besides completionist reasons. If not then i would swap them and make the 4x4 available before the motorcycle since the motorcycle is the obvious superior vehicle.

Do people actually play on ultra settings?   I've got a pretty good system (i9 9900k, rtx 2080) and its pretty unplayable on ultra settings for me (3440x1440 reso, though).  Even on high the game isn't as smooth as I'd like it to be, so I usually play with medium settings.

Nice whataboutism.

 

I'm less concerned about the visuals and more about the blatant misrepresentation of gameplay on display. The posts declare to be of A19 gameplay, which they clearly are not. You would rarely (never?) see that many wilderness spawns and that tourist skin is not in the game (yet). If these are purely for marketing purposes then a disclaimer along the lines of "not representative of actual gameplay" should be attached. You often find that kind of messaging in reveal trailers and marketing materials for games.

Have you been to the the wasteland lately?  Not that much far off from what is shown in that screenshot....  Throw in a wandering horde on top of that and you have what is shown in that screenshot...

 

Here is a quick run through Gravestowne on the Navezgane map.  These are biome spawns only (12 + more not in screenshot).

ultra settings, yes, but on 2560x1080.   For my eyes the extra pixels aren't nearly as noticeable as the bump up in quality settings.

 

Edit:  I'm not talking about you here - but I find it odd that many people in general do anything possible to get a higher resolution.  Lowering other settings that I find make a big difference (more than resolution) -- and even worse.. putting up with crappy frame rates for a higher resolution.. really?

To defend my case, I will say that they didn't do that before and it was perfect. They do that now and it's not cool. I would argue that this is not Zd dumbness but a complete unfun experience if a Zd doesn't focus on me over a block while I'm standing right there next to him without pathblocking blocks in between.

 

A zombie game where a Zd might not chase you. Instant buy.

 

I understand that It's cheap to not check on the player, but in this case it worsens the experience.

Just because I say something is not a big deal, does not mean it won't be improved. It just means I don't think it is important compared to dozens of the 207 tickets currently assigned to me. How destroy area targets blocks is probably going to change anyway, due to me not liking how some of it works.

No, you were right.... just changing my resolution to 2560x1080 had a drastic impact.   Ultra runs pretty well.  I can't believe I didn't think to try that before.

They are already on Steam, it takes about 24 hours for proxy servers to update.

He is called "The Gasser" now and will emit a cloud of toxic poison so yeah you don't want to melee him without protection. Snowdog probably will though.

These are actual screenshots with some color correction is all. Some people (our professional artists) just know how to take great screenshots. A certain time of day, zombie at the right moment, angles, etc all make a huge difference. It is an art like professional photography.

Isn't it a bit early? As far as I'm concerned, the ambulance and the new tourist "gasser" zombie aren't in the game yet... Not to mention that the pics themselves are a bit deceiving, considering no player will see that many zombies on screen...

I only counted 27. Set your horde size to 64 alive and you'll see twice as many as in that screenshot.

EDIT: Not to mention a single screamer can get you 64 on screen very fast if you don't kill her quick enough, or wandering horde.

Isn't the 4x4 the same speed as the motorcycle now?

So I have been testing out a pure agility build, going sneak, sneak damage and bow first. 

 

It actually is not as bad as I thought, although the good point about getting most kills as sneak attacks did not work as often as I thought.  The zombies during the day and make you from pretty far away even with points in the skill, heh.... and sleepers do not really give a if you just shine a light in their faces from a few feet away without points in sneak, heh. 

 

I saw some of the subtle balance you have with exp though, like how all the building materials do not scale with salvage skills, and are mostly there for builds that do not go into strength.  That was actually kinda nice, so I could get a nice building boost of exp that I did not think I would get. 

 

I also never really noticed that your looting exp was your game stage... that is kinda cool actually.  Looting is probably a great source of exp for every build if you live long enough. 

 

 

I do still think the night vision goggles should have +1 agility though.... and it would be cool if there were a ghillie suit mod for armor, and or clothing, in whatever combination would work without making it a mess to implement.

This, times 1000.  I took a screen for my medieval "m-word" and it's frikkin' beautiful with the right lighting, angle, etc... you can get really great screens of the game if you kinda know what you're doing.

You have to buy merch the day it comes out, stuff sells out fast AF, like Bradley Martyn's or Odin wear lol.
