To resurrect a previous convo... I've been playing No Man's Sky from around a year or more after release (first big update i guess) and was coming back to the game every couple months. I always explored a lot, built a base, gathered resources and established a somewhat stable point until i got bored. Each time though, i played longer, did MORE (in view of quests, discovering"words", exploring various planets, gathering resources, etc.) and enjoyed myself longer. Doesn't mean i'm still playing... Maybe i'll come back in another few months, but i think the game CAN be quite enjoyable (the latest iteration took me LONG TIME through "tutorial" levels and beyond to story) compared to when it first appeared. I propose those who didn't play, check it out themselves and make their own opinion.

Considering ZOMBIES... I remember maniacally playing first Dead Space, finishing the game on hardest difficulty, going at it again and again... One thing i can say is way different when you go into NG+ is the equipment you have. When you first encounter Necromorphs none of your weapons is upgraded in any way, you basically struggle to kill them off (unless you know how). Dismembering is crucial to kill them. But when you're close to finishing the game or enter NG+, you can literally shoot them without dismembering to put them down. NO JOKE. Something you'd have trouble or use up LOTS of ammo is more or less on a silver platter when you're using fully upgraded weapons.

With that in mind... It shows it IS a game and you can't really predict every little detail. HP of Necromorphs was properly set up to make them hard to kill, but not impossible (or bullet spongy). Having a great weapon doesn't diminish it in no way, even killing them through chest shots. If i have a basic laser cutter i don't expect dealing much damage, but when i got all the upgrades hell yeah... MY POINT: You want to kill Zs by stabbing their toes? Go ahead, you'll need quite a few hits, but it's plausible as in most games. BECAUSE THEY'RE GAMES.

 

Whew... Back to lurking... -Grumbles.-

What?!? You mean zombies can be killed with an arrow .......... to the knee...🤣

The blood is the players own blood from accidently poking themselves while crafting them lol...

Not even that. I think they expect it to be a magical vehicle that lets them move freely in 3d. Have you tried the UH-60 on Bdubs Vehicles? It flies like a helicopter, alright, and it's hard as hell!

Another thing: people are always rushing in 7 Days to Die. The gyrocopter lands like a plane: it's a controlled fall. People want to keep accelerating all the way to the ground.

Another thing: because there's no stall warning, people will often stall without realizing that's what they are doing wrong. I used to be scared of running out of gas, until I realized it's pretty easy to glide all the way to the ground. All you need to do is point down instead of up.

7d2d has had bandits for a long time! They weren't so bad on alpha 15 and 16, but starting on alpha 17 the bloody thieves got downright nasty! I believe they are called the "trader" gang?

I'm not sure if someone already asked this question, will you guys be adding a way for us (modders) to add custom texture atlases for custom blocks or paint? I know currently you can only replace not add, I can't wait to able to do that as a mod and not as a replacement, Ill be modding all day long once I can do that :D. I have no idea how difficult that would be for you guys to implement but I hope this becomes possible.

You also never played with the old version of them though, either.

 

When created, they wee non bloody, and once used or damage by zombies, they became bloody, and then damaged bloody in stages. You could easily tell which spikes needed repair, or where zombies tried to get into your base with them at a glance.

 

I really look forward to the older system for them going back in., because it just made sense and was not only more immersive, but it became a useful game mechanic.

true that is better, the closest think i got to those spikes where the sharp sticks on Xbox and other videos of older alphas

Are there any new Signs comming for A19?

 

I would really like to see some kind of Neon-Letters that glow in the Dark when attached to a power Source. kinda like those rather old Buildings that have Neon "H O T E L" downwards hanging as advertising. But each letter free placeable like the current ones

ok, thats nice aswell :) Always happy for new variety in Prefabs. Makes the expierience much more immersive.

I know we are far away from an release candidate, but slowly my inner Hype Train warms up.

Also, how do you feel about ES6 possibly not releasing until 2025?

The main reason the Behemoth was removed , was because of the whole Alien DNA thing and to stop people from further speculating/obsessing/bitching about this games "zombie" lore...and not some rigging and pathing issues right! 👽

 

Well , didn't work...just saw even more of that the last couple of pages...lol

Well , didn't work...just saw even more of that the last couple of pages...lol

they could just say that it was mutated zombie 

 

but the reason was due to pathing issues, while personally i wound not want him to be the size of a Large house, i would make him slightly larger then a normal zombie and have him have a large hitbox so he can't walk through a single door (like the bear)

 

but he is gone so what can we do.... aside from mods

Its done when its done.   That phrase is a 2 way street 

 

Madmole would surely not think that phrase is only okay when he is on the developing end :)

suggestions: go more dead rising style as in weapon crafting and fun stupid stuff (MAN the nerf football grenade was fun as well as running zeds over on a tricycle wearing a lego outfit) a CRAP TON of variety. more options on weapons, clothes and anyway to KILL is always a win. MORE weapon mods PLEASE!  please look into overhauling electricity. also mechanical and hydraulic functions be SWEET too like dead fall traps, big trash compactor things like in terminator 1 (I know it was a forge press). you have a VERY dedicated fan base, I know for one being a CHEAP ASS that I wouldn't mind paying for some good, new, massive content aslong as it doesn't go EA on us. just some thoughts take em or not
