Don't you think this dude's shirt is too thick? I think that here the thickness of the fabric is 5 or 7 millimeters !!! Is this a special military armored t-shirt?

Joel, I recall how you once confirmed that in the future, zombies will be able to follow the player with their own eyes and turn their heads in his direction when they see him. Is it still planned or not already?

Yes, we've brought on a guy who coded Doom 2016's kill move system so this is right up his alley. He also has coded on voxel engines and made a blueprint system similar to the one I've talked about so we're excited to get him in the trenches and see what he cooks up.

MM, since you included the army truck in the photo does that mean it will be a new 4 player vehicle in A19? 😂😂😂🙏

You cannot be a minmaxer and want all the numbers, then complain about being a minmaxer and getting to see all the numbers. =P

 

If only we could see ANY bonus. Why not put it in the disease list at the very least? The rest, like 10% speed can go in green in the character window because the stat is already there. Just saying. Better design and well rounded for any kind of player that wants to take a peek at the info.

Looks too good! I don't know why with all the new art and lighting the UI; although functional, seems really outdated in terms of looks. It almost looks cartoony. Really I'm not trying to bust your balls but the art is starting to way outpace the UI look.

 

 

Just the look of it though, not the functionality.

 

And of course this is just my opinion on it.

Have to agree with you, hope they do make a new UI.

Ohh nice, does that mean we will be getting some finishing moves down the line here as well? Still like how you can stomp heads in Dead Island, things like that could be nice in this game too, though might be a bit OP :)

The zombie in the screenshot looks very cool, but he is still a doll that does not inspire fear enough.

 

I'm waiting for the updated zombies to look at me with their hating eyes and make me tremble with fear! =)

11/10, this looks far better than I ever could have imagined! Not that I had doubt, of course. Lol Incredibly scary indeed! And the detail and lighting are magnificent.

 

 

P.S. On a small note that is completely out of context with what you are showcasing, and I've noticed this for a couple screenshots now, but the icon of the land claim block is definitely darker than it used to be. Has its original recipe returned (100 forged iron, or 100 iron even) or is the recipe unchanged?

I do not see why it would not work in multiplayer. Maybe if applied to pvp it could be tricky, but a character doing some special attack just needs that animation for all to see. Isn't Doom als a multiplayer game?

 

I dont think the kill sequences work in doom MP...just guessing. I would guess the kill sequences are not animated in third person.

Animations and such can take control of the character, pretty sure Dead Island had multiplayer too and it allowed such finishing moves on zombies.

 

But in the end it likely all boils down to how much effort they would want to put into it. It may be to much and something they would save up for their next game, I would not hold that against them since they want to bring this game to gold soon.

When the HALO series introduced animated assassinations my number of close combat kills went through the roof... so did my amount of stupid deaths. :-)
