tankovaya
well, I turned the ingame music on. And turned it of very fast. Not my taste. General, I think music is an important addition to a game and can help a great deal with the athmosphere. I played a lot of Kenshi lately and think, that is a great way, how music is embedded in a game. Usually very short pieces, sometimes only a few chords. Add a great deal of athmosphere. Also I can hear them over and over again. Kenshi was a low budget game. That musician can´t be too expensive. MM, maybe check this guy out? n2n1
I agree, the available music is not suitable for this game. The drums are prevented to navigate in the sound situation confusing me.
hotpoon
In most games, the first thing I turn off is music. There are some games that get it right like Conan Exiles, and AC: Origin where it is a pleasant background music appropriate to the story, so on those I don't mind keeping it on low. I thought the music in 7DtD was well done, but a little dramatic. It goes from nothing to super loud and tense every now and then so started feeling distracted by it. If we're talking sound though, I have to say I hate the new level up sound introduced from A17. It sounds negative, so when I hear it, I think something is wrong. The old level-up sound was more "ta-da!" and felt more like "congratz, you reached the next level!"

The old level-up sound was more "ta-da!" and felt more like "congratz, you reached the next level!" Sounded a bit generic, so I understand why they changed it, but I agree that it does have a negative-feel to it.
zaaephod
I use a soundboard program, every time I level up I press a key, and it makes that ridiculously loud Everquest DIIIIIIIIIIIIIIINNNNNNNNNNGGGGGGG!!! sound.

The best level up sound to me is Path Of Exile - it sounds like Angels singing.
