horde night loot

hey, i'm new to the game and i'm on day 39, the last 2 horde nights i haven't gotten any loot. is there something i can do about that? just single player and still on A17.4 b4

What loot were you expecting?

 

Zombies seldom drop loot bags (it is random and does not depend on horde night). And there is no boss zombie that hands out a treasure box (this idea was once came up and thankfully vanished again).

 

Horde night is where your survival is in danger. You might survive or not, get xp, have fun. After the horde night you should go out and raid POI's for treasure.

ohh i see, i thought on horde nights it was normal to get loot because i saw it happen in so many videos. makes sense thank you for answering.

the kind of loot i got before was a bit of everything from ammo to sandwiches.

 

having so much fun though ^^ loving the game!

Right, you were probably seeing videos of previous alphas, for example A15 or A16, where killed zombies left a corpse behind that you could loot.

 

Problem was that after intensive horde nights hundreds of corpses were lying around the base and had to be looted (no one leaves loot behind, even though it mostly was useless stuff) and destroyed (to get the bones). Usually took half a day of busywork additional to all the base repair. Also made the principal threat of the game into a sort of loot delivery service.

 

So TFP removed the corpses and to sugar coat the pill for players used to it added the occasional loot bag with better loot they drop now.
