Laz Man
Difficulty: Adventurer (8 Alive) Stats and Preparation: Perception / Intelligence Build - - - Updated - - - Spiral Horde Base: The good news is that I won and the horde was over by Midnight. The bad news is the zombies ignored the spiral path and made a direct path for my stairs. My theory is the spiral path was too short due to the traps not being recessed into the floor (base is only 3 voxels high). Had a few oh $hit moments but nothing too crazy. My turret certainly helped hold them back. Already have a few modification ideas for the next horde. To be continued.
Kalarro
Love this kind of post. As somebody who has time at work to browse forums, but cant watch videos, this is most entertaining Im also glad to see an AI cheese tactic didnt work
Laz Man
Haha, yeah alittle on the chessy side but not as bad as some others I've seen. My comfort level for a horde base is something that buys me enough time to do some active defense. Full cheese for me is when the player doesnt have to do anything but sit in one spot to win. 😅
Khulkhuum
Using up the trailer park POI i have in my small town. The blue is the trailers and raised paths so i can jump between them and red is spikes in a 1 block deep trench (only had time for 5 out of 6 trailers to do so). Cleared everything around to not obstruct zombie AI pathing. No other overhangs used. Some of the Zs tried running through the door or something INTO the trailers themselves (the one i was at, but i frequented different roofs). Shooting from above the ones that were flinching on the spikes. Good defense for first horde, we'll see how it fares for the second. In the end only a few spikes were missing, although invoking the horde again required me to lure them against more spikes.

Lots more variation from POI horde bases versus build your own. 👍
HungryZombie
I love using POI's as bases. The POI's actually show great ways to layout a base if you were to build one yourself. The self built bases just ruin the immersive experience for me as they look so blocky and bland. I suppose I could also paint textures on my own base but I am also lazy and just not into gathering 100k materials to build lol.
Luzifer
Love your Build! I tried a different approach by making a Funnel with a single very wide opening closing in on a tip with me sitting there and fighting for my life as death is closing in x3 had to make the walls around me extra thick so they wouldnt just break their way into me. Very adrenaline much fun
