Hardcore Mode: Death is final, with less damage percentages from certain sources.

Title. Imagine you take 50% less damage from landmines, so when you're at full health, a landmine can't kill you in one hit. You take 75% less damage from all creature strikes; Animals, Undead, etc. It is harder to die, but death means your world is deleted and you have to start over. It could be a single-player exclusive mode. You fall into a basement trap? Surrounded by 7 zombies? Can't find the way out? Fight for your life, because once it's over, it's over. Make it a little harder to die, no more full health obliterations from random landmines, no more instances where 2 zombies can stun you and subsequently kill you with a few strikes each from full health. As of Alpha 18 it takes 7 days to die from an infection, in hardcore mode loot could be set to 25%. If you're really desperate for antibiotics you can raid a medicine store or do quests for a trader, but only 25% of the lootable containers in a medicine store will contain any loot at all - you could search an entire pill store and find zero antibiotics, or be scrambling to find enough honey to mitigate your infection while you do quests. This is a very good idea and would attract many devoted players, so I hope you hear my call Fun Pimps, this is well within the realm of possibility for you. And I've basically hammered out the crucial details. I've basically given you the blueprint for a perfect Hardcore mode, using the systems in your game. Keep the bleeding effect, it would add a new level of tension; Bleeding would be terrifying if you were fighting multiple zombies, knowing that although their hits did much less damage, the bleed was still ticking... And dying would be permanent. Please Fun Pimps, for the love of god please add this type of thing. Use the balances to damage sources I've provided and tweak it at your leisure. Don't even change fall damage, a big fall should be a source of instant death. And I love fighting bloodmoon hordes with molotovs, I love how anything can go wrong and you can find yourself up crap creek without a boat. If I fall off my towers into the sea of zombies and barbed wire beneath them, it's 50/50 whether or not I can get back up and save my skin. This would be the perfect game mode for players who want a truly immersive death is death experience, and I really hope you consider it.

The problem with one life is that it can be random and illogical.

Also, this can happen in the case of some glitch or imperfection of the game world.

But, of course, there are ways to solve these problems, but it is necessary that the developers would want or consider it necessary.

The worst part about this game is how beneficial death is. Want to feed or hydrate yourself? Commit suicide. Want to cure an infection? Commit suicide. Want to fast-travel back to your base? Deposit items into a chest then commit suicide. It's just a joke, the game should be called "7 ways to exploit dying"
