Windows server

Recently a friend scored a server from his work so naturally we've been setting up games on it to use as a dedicated server. We got games like Conan Exiles to work but 7d2d just will not launch. It'll get pop up that unity box showing it's loading and a cmd box will pop up saying file not found then the unity thing goes away as well as the process in task manager. It doesn't create any logs.

 

Things we've tried:

 

1. reinstalling the game from steam/tools

 

2. reinstalling from steamcmd

 

3. installing from 7d2d rat

 

4. copying the files over from the dedicated server on my computer

 

5. hours of googling it to find nothing

 

6. triple checked every config file

 

7. verified files on steam

 

The server is an older dell power edge running windows server 2008 r2 activated.
