What if sound alerted zombies and made them run?

Just a idea me and a friend were talking about trying to make the game more of a challenge while out looting during the day but not over the top.

 

What if things that gave off sound such as vehicles or guns explosions could make the zombies more alert for a short period of time meaning they could run during the day until the sound fades?

 

so for example say a shot gun going off, there would be a certain radius around the player who shot the gun and any zombie in that radius becomes more alert and starts running for a set amount of time, and every shot gun blast would trigger it again starting the timer over before they walk again.

 

I dont know anything about modding but would something like this be possible?

It used to be..

I am not sure for A17.##, as I haven't really messed with the sound in that way yet, for this build. If it is still doable, You'll need to look in your entityclasses.xml and sound.xml. Just read the comments, and it should lead you to what you want to accomplish.
