KennyBMallNinja
Just picked up the Xbox version of 7D2D and enjoying it. Playing on a random gen world now and came across a military camp with concrete walls building, chow hall, kitchen, command tent and 2 watchtowers. I figured this would be perfect to use a a Base of Operations however I can't figure out what I am doing wrong with the torches. Been trying to place them on walls and it seems that they won't stick. I tried the right trigger and the left. What am I missing here as I know it is probably something silly but did not seem to find the answer via google or forum search. tired gamer
Not sure what's going on there, maybe it's the type of block the walls are made of, have you tried replacing a block in the wall with a new one to see if the torch will stick? I've never used the military camp as a base so i don't know for sure,........p.s. torches wont stick to walls of sand.
KennyBMallNinja
I'll have to give it a shot with a block. I am sure I am missing something silly and stupid but want to verify its left trigger to place not the attack right trigger.

Welcome to the game btw, and try not to listen to all the 'doomsayers' on this forum, it may not be any where near as advanced as the PC version but the game works fine and i've put 100's of hours into it and enjoyed every minute. If you are still having trouble, then place some of your own wood blocks down, and put torches on them. I play ps4, I think left is place and right is rotate. You can test it with a wood box, as it will work the same as a torch. That said, if you rotate the torch the wrong way it might not place on the wall properly. So you might try a rotate, place, rotate, place. Either way I have placed torches in the ps4 version, I would assume they are running the same version, but I could be wrong. Thanks, I am having a blast just trying to find time to play is the challenge right now. I am on a Random Gen map now and fortifying the army camp. Tonight is now day 7 and just waiting on the horde to show up. Ironically I got a great base location right off the bat but sadly nothing of note nearby for looting. - - - Updated - - - If you are still having trouble, then place some of your own wood blocks down, and put torches on them.
