Drunknmunkey
It's not a *diss* just constructive criticism. And yes this is why I get in trouble. I just want it to be the best they can do. It's years between posts, in hopes of getting in less trouble hehe. YEARS btw..... oh snap... yeah, it's been that long. Spare me the rhetoric, they do a fantastic job. I just feel like they lose their direction a little and placate things that will get scrapped later. Aand round and round we go.
Drunknmunkey
Also artists and animators (who probably have to do most of the work for the lions and coyotes) can't do the job of other specialists like the programmers. So if there are no lions to do they would just sit around and drink coffee. You're absolutely right. This is the problem when a company gets larger. However, they could be working on textures instead of new projects, improving 2D stuff that looks silly for this potential AAA game. No excuses, this is a serious business at this point and has been for a while. In a way, it's treated as a hobby. That's not meant to offend, it's just the truth. Aand now I get slapped. *sigh*
Blake_
Wires serve zero gameplay purpose (you don't cut wires to disable someone's power, you interface with the powered object) so why make it confusing and have it behind a perk? I'd either leave it alone or change it so they only show when you have a wire tool out, leaning on "leave it alone" tbh. Hidding them is a thank god from us . It's not even a "it doesn't change gameplay" Because you will also be fixing the annoying visual bug when you do everything in your hand to hide them and they get weirdly displaced on relog/chunk reload/whatever is happening there leaving them in the middle of the air connected to nothing. So +1 from me. And a like. And a subscribe.
Viktoriusiii
You don't even want to know, was close to 90 this morning. I killed 9 out of 10 today, well passed a couple to other people because I couldn't figure them out, but I kicked some butt. Just made a fresh steaming cup of coffee and fresh cup of A18b91 to sink my teeth into. Logged into a nicely lit base instead of a rage quitting ♥♥♥♥ show. uff! Back up to 90? After they were down to ~55? That is sad to hear. But you can do it! I believe in you! (see how unsettling it is if I write stuff overly positive? But seriously, continue kicking those mf's butts!) madmole
is there any hope to be able to actually can our own food in the campfire in jars? This change is kinda ridiculous and insulting to farmers lol Canning rotten food isn't going to make the food better. The radiation has taken its toll on the ground and sky. madmole
I also would have to chime in and say leave the wires as they are...it fits the theme and primitive post apocalyptic vibe and if you want them hidden...just takes a little extra planning and building , not difficult . Also Madmole are there any book sets that are in , or are planned to further augment Unarmed and punching things to death? Either way , definitely looking forward to using an Unarmed build in A18! A19 we will evaluate what further books might be needed. I had written most the books then we decided true specialization needed a melee and ranged weapon under each attribute so brawling was added, and we had a ton of books to do as it was, so maybe A19 we'll get some mma books. madmole
Will there be a barf animation? Coughs * Barf * Coughs Why, you can't see yourself in third person. Do you want to watch other players barf? What is wrong with you? LOL. We're going to feel out the feature before adding animations.
ZombieSurvivor
<snip>so maybe A19 we'll get some mma books. Just a quick idea for what its worth. possible title for the MMA book "Joe Rogan Tips" or "The Joe Rogan Technique".

Erik Louden
I always lower my xp to 25% anyway so its good to hear the base game xp is getting lowered. I totally agree, it is a race to boredom. It just struck me that I've been playing 7DTD for almost 6 years and I still totally love it.
Gazz
That thing produced a lot of lags.^^ I believe that.
MechanicalLens
I think madmole wasn't really serious about that. It wouldn't make sense to have to learn how to cook to produce food with worse properties than the food you find. It would make sense if food spoilage were implemented into the game and the stored food would get worse over time but as far as I know this is not planned. I personally think it would make for an interesting addition. (Almost universal food poisoning.)
MechanicalLens
If most food in (A18?) will give you food poisoning, shouldn't hobo stew logically give you the largest change of food poisoning of all? After all, its main ingredient is literal rotten flesh. Just a thought.
Guppycur
Joe Roidguns maybe. Don't want to use any real ppl names. What if he says yes...
JamesKirk
Could this be tied to the cooking skill where each rank reduces risk of food poisoning at least? I second that! EDIT: on second thought this would be nearly impossible, for then you wouldn't be able to stack meals cooked by different persons with different ranks. This would only work in SP. Even then you may have cooked some meals before learning the next rank. EDIT2: Just saw MM answered this already....
JamesKirk
So hiding wires would solve a game problem that doesn't exist. What about another way, show the wires only when the LCB is activated, similar to LCB boundaries??
Star69
On the food issue, the change is how food really works. Canned food is sterilized before sealing the can so the only way for bacteria to get in(bacteria are the cause of food poisoning) is for a hole or some other physical damage to the can. Cooked food is the number one cause of food poisoning. Not cooking to the proper temperature or not storing at the proper temperature allows bacterial growth. Radiation, in fact, is a currently used technique for some food sterilization though probably not the same radiation in the game. This is from a former job I held as health inspector which, by the way, made me wonder why more people don’t get food poisoning due the conditions I saw in a lot of restaurant kitchens. This is very true. However, I personally believe that canned food should still give you a chance of food poisoning, as canned food does not last forever; only three years at least and several years at the most. wolfbain5
I'm pretty sure it would spawn there. Someone can test it if they are bored and share the results. in 17 your bag is in the outpost.
faatal
I don't post cuz I usually get in trouble. Regarding demolish zeds. If I could make a suggestion. Just repurpose a regular zed with red instead of green color to test the mechanics. New wire frames and such are enough of a pain. Might just check what is known and works with a new dynamic to see if it actually works. Yall have probably already though of this but, if not, just a thought. Could even just add it if the new wire frame needs work before release. No need. It is done. Someone might fiddle with the numbers, but I say good enough. ecv
There could simply be a more advanced "sunk in" relay, that hides (invisible) any wires connected to another sunk relay. This way there is a plausible way to make wires hidden, along longer paths of a wall, without hiding them completely. (Any wire between those relays will only show up when equipping the wire tool) -> thinking about making hidden wires without large changes to the code here. Like wall safes or those morgue drawers. Have their connectors inside the wall. You could even hide them behind a hatch or door then, since they won't take up room other than the wall block itself. Could open up some hidden room poi thingy, with a switch sunk inside a wall, behind a picture or something, opening up a hidden door. Make use of that new automatic drawbridge feature
