Sheesh....I can't keep up on this thread. It just keeps growing and growing faster as we get closer to magic time. Wow...that sounded sexual. Anyway, Thanks for the video share MM. I like your design and will take some tips myself. I'm always trying to find new ways to use traps and that was refreshing and a clean design.

 

Madmole - Would you be willing to show a clip of just driving around in the biomes with the new textures before release? If not, I get it. I'd like to get an idea of the terrain changes and how the new Splat system creates them and how they end up, and just to drool over the new terrain.

but i kinda wish they jumped even higher and a new look

 

like 12 blocks high

 

and the look would look like a feral with big hands and 2 large bone toes

 

while the old look could just be a normal zombie

I want something like the demolisher throwing smaller zombies at you. =P

Interesting. Would you say AI is the biggest bottleneck preventing more zombies at once?

 

Not AI as in thinking, but systems the AI uses, like character controller updates.

Because you need about 2 to 4 wheels at most in any given play through. After that its like damn, what am I going to do with this stupid wheel?

 

Um.. I need 18 wheels...

So I thought the progression is slower? But it is not slow enough to skip over some vehicles?

 

I would personally need 11 at least.

2-motorcycle

4-jeep

Faatal, would you be behind the artificial intelligence of the bandits? If so, how do you see it as a challenge?

 

I will probably work on bandits to some degree, but we have a new programmer getting up to speed, which might work on them.

 

The challenge is making them act human and not like the current AI. Group patrol, use cover, ranged weapons, retreat, etc.

Vehicle mods are planned in some way, there is much more stuff before devs go to them. Already discussed and we wait.

Your kid will argue as well that when he throws a stone through a window, he shouldn't be punished. Instead he should be getting some kind of reward each day he doesn't throw stones through a window. Something small like one hour of smartphone use. :cocksure:

I'm waiting for players to build "good cover" for bandits with land mines behind it. =P

If you mean in-game, the compound bow is by far the best option. If you meant like, in-real-life-in-the-game, the crossbow, cause who has the arm strength or coordination for real archery?? :fat:

 

I do. I mean I used to be an expert with a .45 in the military and could headshot at 50 yards, and these pipes can draw a bow, but I haven't used a bow in ages but I think I could master it if I put my mind to it. Try rowing 325, it makes a bow string feel like a rubber band :)
