Nope. Its stand still and mess with a menu and get kicked out of the menu because you get hit by nearby zombies. It also bypasses reload time. Its not like regular turret. New turret, new rules.

 

So after all the talk about streamlining and pearl clutching about confusing new players...

some of the prefab stuff has changed. some of the rwg. some of the items.xml

 

that is just from watching and reading

Are minor bugs you're finding leading up to A18 release still being fixed? For example, will the minor bug you noted with the workbench (collider being too big) be fixed before release. I'm looking forward to the new mods and all the fixes for bugs from A17. I hope they've all been worked out!

I am kind of surprised you didn't use the opportunity to propose all kinds of new seeds for veggies, fruits, tress, etc.

 

(And then all kinds of new food recipes...)

I have always enjoyed playing 7D2D, and after taking a small break from the game glad to back to playing it daily.

I know that A18 is lock, but have a question for Dev team. Is there any plan to put in some kind of sound detection/direction aspect to the game. As of A17.4 sounds from a zombie seem to come from all around, and not from one direction. Simple form of the question would be.

"If a zombie is in the house in front of me moaning and breaking down the door. The sound come from in front of me or behind me if I was facing the other way."

you can hear the direction of sound long time. at least all a17 time. maybe even a16.4 , i can not remember. it is up to your headset and/or pc.

i always can tell, where z breaking something or where wolf howls.

Since we've discussed pretty much everything already I'll ask about something non A18.

 

Are you guys considering any additional crops, plants, basically anything in the plant kingdom? This would be in the future of course.

 

Nope. There are still lots of interesting recipes you guys came up with adding more crops = a bunch of new stuff that really isn't even needed. Plenty of food items in the game. I'd like to make some of them have some kind of cure or benefit though.

I have made this same statement before here. You just opened the flood gates you have no idea....take cover because this is going to explode lol. :) let the debate start...again... ha ha

MM - Can we now shoot through all the different railings (wood, metal) now or is that a future fix? Inquiring minds would like to know.

 

Also, is there a fix that your team has accomplished that they are particularly proud of or is it just another day in the office moving toward a finished product?

 

I imagine all that extends from a master block so probably.

 

I'm happy to have what I think is a rwg that we can build upon.

You know, I build my base much like the way you do Madmole. Even the steps made out of wood frames. :)

 

I guess we're both noobs then and don't know how to play this game ;)

Honestly this shocks me. I never would have guessed food items that do not really serve a purpose would be allowed. Food variety is very much welcomed. A lot of my female friends that play this game are going to love hearing about this news!

Yes when all MF's are fixed, non MF's are fixed. I think the plate window was eating my voxel space.

I noticed that as well while watching your video. It is the plate window that blocked you.

Where the soil dips at the edge when next to a normal block and creates a motorcycle trap.

 

You don't remember the conversation? Guppy posted pictures showing the hack to fix it, a hack which your prefab makers have apparently been using as a feature in some places. :-)

Thanks for the reply Madmole. I'm pretty sure you already answered this for me but I can't remember the answer (old man disease). Are all blocks able to be Advanced rotated in A18 or will there be some that can only be simple rotated? Also, are all blocks that are available for CM (beside the special Dev blocks) available in game or are some still "uncraftable" or able to be sold at the trader at least? There's a few blocks in CM that I'd love to have access to in game to build with, legitimately.

That divot has been around since hills stopped being blocky messes. You might be able to introduce something into the RWG algorithm, but it would still be there in anything player made, and I doubt it was a priority for A18.
