Gamebreaking stutter issues

Hey all.

 

I was so pumped when a17 finally released. I had been waiting patiently since 16, and when it released, I was so let down by the game-breaking problem of stuttering. I played a16 on ultra graphics, literally everything maxed out, with absolutely no issue whatsoever. On this new release however, I can't even play on potato mode without stutters happening every 10 seconds or so.

 

I have no idea whats causing this, or if it's a widespread issue.

 

I stopped playing when it came out due to this, and tried to come back today to see if it had been addressed (nope).

 

Once I can figure out how to play without that issue, I can begin to tackle the issue of 35 zombies spawning in every house (which is also a huge issue imho)

Stutter issue is widespread to pretty much everyone (some ppl don't notice it though). It's not you, it's the game. Devs are apparently working on it now. As for 30 zeds spawned in every house, I agree. It's unrealistic and just one more way to force some difficulty onto the players. It's way worse when you play on nightmare difficulty due to spongy zeds that take forever to kill. But what I do is make as much noise as possible around the house, including breaking windows and stuff in order to lure them all out (and break open some entrances too) and just lure them all to a far distance away from the house and run back to the house to kill off any stragglers that didn't leave.

Thanks for the reply. Hopefully the issue is nailed in soon enough. Could possibly have to do with the switch with models?

 

Anyway, I wish there was a way to change the amount of zombies who spawn in a particular area. I think a16 had a very favorable /amount/ of zombies, but too many were sleepers, which made it incredibly easy, albeit a slow crawl with stealth+bow.

 

Anyway, hope to see some improvement, because this game has been my jam since idk...a13 or somewhere around then.
