ricp
The question is pretty much in the title. Can they call in other screamers? Screamers are both a negative and a benefit. I don't mind them although they can get a little tedious at times. However sitting at only day 9 (lvl: 32, gs: 48) and lured by my almost perma-on forge I got a screamer. She was a little awkward as I could hear her but she was trapped inside a neighbouring building. I finally worked my way to her and just as she's dispatched she gets in a scream. As you'd expect more zombies are spawned in. Fine, I think, I'll clear these for the XP and get back to "work". Amongst that mini horde was another screamer. I get a few shots in but the rest of this horde were defending her by getting in the way of my ammo. Another scream goes out. Round the corner comes 3 screamers. Yeah, 3. I mean fine, easily dealt with but you can't really take out 3 without one letting out a scream. At it's height I had 2 screamers calling in zombies, and about 30 zombies in one massive horde (killing the FPS) which in total managed to spawn in 6 screamers. I was level 32 and game stage of 48 and had the relevant ammo, tools, armour, etc to deal with this but it did seem like the game got caught in a little loop; spawn screamer which in turn spawns zombies, which in turn contains a screamer (rinse and repeat). RipClaw
The question is pretty much in the title. Can they call in other screamers? Yes, they can. They can also call a feral or radiocative screamer which in turn can call a screamer again. The whole thing can get out of control pretty fast if you don't pay attention. Ghostlight
They sure can, and they sure should. There is a woeful lack of zombie action in the game (outside of horde night and dungeon POIs). For a zombie survival game, it sure lacks actual zombies. Send more Screamers.....more....more... While you are at it, send 10 times more wandering hordes; each of them 10 times as big as they currently are. I am 100% serious. There is a serious lack of zombies in the game. Royal Deluxe
Yes i hate and love it too. Nothing wrong if a (summoned and so avoidable) army of screamer force you to run
ricp
Yes, they can. They can also call a feral or radiocative screamer which in turn can call a screamer again. I presume the zombies called in are based on game stage. No ferals or radioactive zombies spawned during my session but I'd have thought game stage 48 could have a chance of some. There is a serious lack of zombies in the game. I agree in the difficulty. I'm already on record as saying I'd be happy with settings that meant you were struggling from day 1 with limited resources and aggressive zombies. Sadly, as is the way with 7DtD, the frame rate really doesn't support a constant stream of aggressive zombies with new hordes spawning and pathing to you. I don't mind screamers either. I was more interested in the "perpetual spawning mechanism". +1. Screamers should be a real threat, not only an XP resource. It's an interesting change with A17. Previously zombies were very easy to deal with and were a constant source of loot. Now they don't drop loot they are more a nuisance than anything. Not that I mind this. They are also now an actual threat, but the ethos of the game has changed somewhat. Nothing wrong if a (summoned and so avoidable) army of screamer force you to run Yeah.. certainly nothing wrong in them either spawning or spawning other screamers, and I welcome the challenge, I was more concerned about the mechanics being used to spawn them. xOmegax117
Ha the heatmap is broken in A18 experimental right now. You can expect 18 screamers per day with one forge and campfire going.
